Just gave up on Diablo inferno. I have been under 25% 3 times now and i keep messing it up. The randomness of some of his attacks and the complete lack of predictability is stupid.

Some very encouraging changes there.

Indeed. Some very nice changes there. Though the increase in repair costs sounds a little stupid. I can fully understand getting your ass handed to you repeatedly by regular monsters and having a huge repair bill should be there to discourage you from pushing on and tell you you need to improve your gear. But anyone who has played Inferno knows there are some stupid elite/champ combinations of abilities that render them impossible to defeat without gear capable of clearing 2 acts above you.

Jeweller change for low tier gems is epic. I'm almost regretting merching my lower tier gems as I could've probably created a fair few flawless squares out of them for very little cost.

I like the removal of coop damage buff on monsters. Tbh I wasn't actually sure there was such a thing... to what extent does it increase damage atm?

Looks like IAS is in for a change too. I think what they should've done is make it so equipment can have either attack speed boost or damage boost (NEVER both, including Legendaries). It kinda defeats the point of having a build that relies on powerful, low frequency attacks (like things with a cooldown or things you don't use on auto-attack) when the only way to increase your damage past a certain point is the use of IAS which has absolutely no effect on those skills and encourages pure dps builds only.

Yeah agree increase in repair costs seems abit OTT, this will make ppl bankrupt in no time, especially new players.

Inferno Champs = fast Invunrable motar sheilding minons, with mirror damage and regen health means high death rate, it is expected to get killed more than once, now we pay the price for stupid affixes.

And by the time you respawn with the stupid cooldown of 10-20 secs the minion has already regen health

Not sure I'm a fan of the Attack Speed proposed change. It will lower my damage, I then have to make that damage up from somewhere else and if they are just straight up nerfing IAS and not increasing anything else to compensate it's kinda harsh.

15% per additional player in Inferno iirc.

I think that's pretty much the point, it is such an attractive stat to stack and it will obviously suck if you have stacked it.

from the sounds of it, they're only increasing repair costs on lvl60 items (at least only increasing them dramatically?), so it won't be bankrupting new players, just people unfortunate enough to hit an impossible pack while attempting to get new gear on inferno

My thoughts exactly. The mechanics largely favour constant damage skills once you get to end-game. The only way I can increase my damage now (other than spending millions on a crossbow with more than 1000 dps) is attack speed. I gained about 1400 damage from about 2% more attack speed on my quiver, then lost about the same from 70 less dex on my new chest armour.

It makes my build of Spike Trap + Impale seem weaker and weaker as I progress.

15% per additional player in Inferno iirc.

Ah not as bad as I was expecting but when the Butcher hits me for 25-30k and I have 31.5k hp, that means moving from SP to 2man Coop will increase his damage by 3-5k, making it a clear 1 hit kill...

1.0.3 patch hits later this month. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/6262208/Patch_103_Design_Preview-6_6_2012#blog

This will make a few people happy, Inferno balance adjusting the damage and health of monsters in Inferno Act II, III and IV

hiked up repair costs, and less loot. what's not to love?

but in all seriousness what are they thinking making repair costs 5-6x the current???

unless you have over 100% GF you wont be able to gain anything from dropped coins, the only way you will be able to add on to your cash pile is by playing hell, or selling items if you are one of the lucky people on AH that get every idiot buying your stuff.

They give with one hand and take away with another, may as well revert all patches and never do anything to this game again, unless they like going in circles then by all means carry on.

I must admit in comparison to Diablo 2 repair costs are nothing right now. That said I would prefer to see a debuff of some sort rather than a huge repair bill. This game as it is now is already too focused on gold. Still, maybe then they are right and this will force people to be more careful... AKA skip elites in Act 2 Inferno onwards.

on less loot.

they're moving 1 rare from the boss to every elite pack you find, I tend to hit full NV about 3 or 4 elite mobs before bosses, I think I'm going to gain extra loot from these changes + an increase in drop rate for the higher tiered items

Don't worry about that, with all the crying that goes on DH's will be near useless by the next 2 patches.

and then the kiddies can decide on what class they wanna break next, by the looks of it the wizard is next.

by the end of it no one will be able to even enter tristam on normal, the whole game will be that little pathway with 10-15 mobs on it.

yeah, that's fine if you farm packs but not everyone has the time to kill 5-6 packs per run, rinse repeat 20,000 times to get a possible upgrade.

especially when the drops/money you get are going to go straight into your repair fund.

what are you farming that you don't come across at least 6 elite mobs but regularly getting full NV stack?

SS isn't that good 1-3 seconds of not being seen...

i prefer vault if im playing solo

err SS makes you invulnerable to all damage, thats its power..

Just reading the 1.0.3 notes, bit gutted they are looking at nerfing IAS after having just dropped 4 million on a Beckon Sail. Bah!

Too true :D

Surely the point is to make a longer run to a boss and get more from the mobs along the way, instead of taking the shortest trip possible with 5 champ mobs then downing the boss.

Well, with my gear it's easier to kill bosses than champion packs on inferno...so go figure. it's not fun dying 20+ times just to see if you get somthing... i can't see anyone doing this when the 6x repair costs come out either.

Okay...but for most people it only lasts 1 second, it's hardly OP or needed in most cases i only use it to get past mobs, and vault does it just as good, if not better.

i was starting to think thats what people wanted...ah well guess we can just wait for D4 :p

i would accept the crying for what it was if there was PVP, and people were getting angry at how **** they are...but arent we all working together (in a way) to just farm the best items we can to use/sell???

what purpose is all the 'nerf it all' attitude...is it really jealousy about people picking what they think was the wrong class? or is it because they are greedy and only want there class to be the 'best'??? i really can't seem to think of a logical reason as to why hundreds and thousands of people are literally getting upset over something that doesn't effect them in anyway, if it buggs them that much go roll that class and then stfu? honestly...

I'm finding loads of ppl farming ACT I - just before killing skelly king. i think the mission is search for the crown.

When you kill the butchers wife in the cellar.

Being doing 1 hour of it and got 150k, Teleport to Cathedral Ruins get loot and ramdom chests, then TP to old ruins get loads of loot with random cellars, sometimes theres a goblin and chests and elites.

then go back to new tristam and kill butchers wife, and get loads more loot.

But im guessing they will nerf this soon, if not already.
