What film did you watch last night?

Went and saw Snow White and the huntsman last night as the missus wanted to see it...quite enjoyed it, thought it was a pretty good take on the whole snow white tale.

Missus loved it as she has a major thing for Hemsworth:p...have to say if i was a woman myself, id be drooling over him:p

8/10...thoroughly enjoyable flick.

Off topic but. My reciever can do 7.1, is it worth me getting two new front speakers and relegating the current fronts to the sides?

I was thinking of doing the same as you.
I read around and the general consensus was that the extra 2 speakers make little/no difference.

Nokas 7/10
True story of Norways largest bank robbery. Slow burner very realistic on the action front i.e no hollywood special effects. (subtiitles)

Whatever Works 8.5/10
Woody Allen Directing with Larry David starring. Really enjoyed this very original romantic comedy. "Bleakly funny" sums up the humour throughout. Unusual film and I will enjoy watching this again.

Raid Redemption 8.5/10
Wow, very impressive action movie set in Jakata (indonisia) 15 story block of flats with swat team attempting to take out a major criminal. Fight scenes were brilliantly done. (subtitles)

That's good. As the room I was going to put floorstanding speakers in has just been reserved for new DVD (well in my case xbox game) cabinates.

A Time To Kill. It was pretty good, but I can't help but feel that making any film about race is incredibly hard without just being incredibly heavy handed.

True. 7.1 is basically just a fad that rode along with the advent of HD audio streams. Any decent fronts will easily handle anything more, not that it's necessary in any sense... 5.1 is more than enough for any home system.

Unstoppable - 7/10

Seen it before, still like it though.

Might watch 21 grams tonight, any good?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - 2/5

Disappointing. Too overblown and too many plots. It has it's moments of fun, but not nearly enough of them.

Prometheus - 8/10

Snow White and the Huntsman - Meh, what a load of rubbish. Was expecting a gothic fantasy, but it was all fairy and no tale. - 4/10
