with Mf is it the same as diablo 2?
if I have complete Mf gear but don't hit the mob last the Mf gear will have no effect? or because it's personal loot will it work no matter what?

From what I understand, it averages out. If there's 2 people in a group, one having 40%MF, the other 100%MF then each kill will give a 70%MF bonus.

Apparently there's a huge gold exploit been found to do with the changing of the clock and the AH. I think I've been a victim of it had two 1 handers up for 800k and they have completely disappeared.

There was a gold dupe exploit related to changing your system clock, which is a retarded bug to be honest, hope nobody here has been doing it because Blizzard have already posted a warning about cheating, I expect ban waves to begin fairly soon.

I don't know how they can argue against that  or even why they would, It's their obligation to do more on the matter, as you said in your reply.

Well they're claiming the only IP to access my account is my own. I guess there's nothing more I can do at this point if that's the case and they seem pretty adamant in not rolling it back. Oh well, time to farm I guess. Taking any generous donations that people may have :)

So after being a bit bored with my DH. Also I've just decided to wait for the patch before doing any more farming on it. I started leveling a monk last night. Only got him to lvl 12 but holy hell ! monk is fun to play. Loving that fists of thunder (first ablity) with the thunder(thingy) rune the one that makes you teleport a short distance into melee That along with that spinny kick thing is so fun lol.

DH's are deffo not the Ryu and Ken of D3 monks are by far every time I do the spinning kick I wish my monk should shout out "Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku" or even with the third punch in fists of thunder (or use that next one you get where you project an attack) I think "hadouken !!" lol

Still its fun leveling a melee char its quite nice being right in the action rather than running away all the time. Sure this might change come inferno but in the mean time I shall relish jumping between mobs punching and smashing their faces in with a Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku lol.

Oh PS: RMAH might be open 2moz "prepare for hell" !!! mwahaha :p

I'm finding a similar thing but the other way around. Got bored of my level 60 Barbarian (ok I got bored of Inferno rather than the character) an have been levelling up a Witch Doctor that I originally started in the trial. Up to level 20 and having great fun, slowing enemies down to a standstill whilst poisoning them and watching my Gargantuan beat the **** out of them is such a change in pace to having to run in and smash things!

You still kite as a melee, you pop cds, melee for a bit, then run when your cooldowns expire.

Only if you massively overgear it do you stand there and just tank the damage.

I've just completed Normal on my Wizard and starting Nightmare Act 1. However I'm a little worried - I like the idea of farming better kit in order to progress, but the trouble is that the stuff on the AH is so cheap (I only found a 28dps dagger through all of Normal, but got a 52dps wand for 3k off the AH which probably dropped in Nightmare) that it's very easy and tempting to just kit up through there. Is that how most people are doing it - blast through Nightmare and onto Hell with a lot of AH assistance, before you start to get more appropriate drops of your own?

It'd be nice if there came a stage where there was a nice balance between the rewards of farming gold and the boss drops you can get yourself.

At least the bug got found now rather than when the rmah went live.

Feel sorry for my girlfriend, she finally leveled her wizard to level 60. We decided to try Inferno Act 1 together. Me with a monk. She finished the night ****** off and very frustrated. Couldn't understand why 1 skeleton or stupid bat could kill her in like 2 hits when I was practically able to tank with the monk.

My gear isn't even that special, I need to invest 5-10 million or get incredibly lucky drops to get it how I want it but it's good enough for Act 1(kind of)

Tried to explain she either has to max out int for damage output or invest heavily in resist + vit + armour so she can take some damage but with only 150k to play with in gold, she would need to grind for a while to get the gear.

Kind of sucks the spike in difficulty and how a play style used in hell right up to diablo is no longer working even slightly in Inferno.

I also got whined at for bypassing the odd elite, shielding, invulnerable minions, reflect damage, dessecrator......

I wish the game was a bit more difficult, and by that I mean difficult, not unfair. At the moment it's 90% gear, 5% luck and 5% skill. It would be much more fun and challenging if it was based more on skill. It doesn't feel enough like you can use a broad range of skills to combat different types of enemy, you're merely using skills to make sure you can generate more health than damage you take if you're a melee or do more dps if you're a ranged.

Blizzard are doing their usual, denying it ever existed, but there is stream footage out there of people doing it. Takes a lot more effort to photoshop a video so I doubt they are fake.

I jsut hope Blizzard will roll back or ban these people because they reportedly got billions out of it.

I think Inferno requires much more skill than theother difficulties. As basically if I get hit I die so I need to kite more, be more aware of my discipline use so I can SS at the right times.

Use caltrops to slow enemies so they don't get close etc.

Obviously some Elite mobs I just have to spam at, die then retry some more spamming at them.

But for the most part, it is making me be more switched on an tactical, I am actually enjoying it despite being dead quite a bit.

I've been changing my system clock to allow me to cancel my auctions early, but did not use it to dupe gold, should be safe hopefully!

It's extremely amateurish of blizzard to code the auction house to refer to your PC clock though......

I mean come on, you'd expect more from a multi-billion pound company.

Oh dear.. All bar one of my mates who picked this up have completely stopped playing now, one even managed to sell off all his gold for around £200 (illegally). End game content really isnt up to scratch they all said, plus the randomization of items is incredibely infuriating, useless legendaries, gold farmers killing any possibility of making the slightest bit of money from RMAH.

Got to agree, its just so dissapointing though :(

Maybe Vivendi are right to sell off their stake in ActiBlizz.
