***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

I just did an update on Voda's firmware to LF1 but it has the same Kernel build date as LF2 (June 5th). I have no idea if I'm behind the times and I could have done this last week or it's just out today OTA. Anyone know which way round is right?

I've got a problem with photos/videos, any that I have taken recently aren't in the usual DCIM folder when browsing in windows? I've been looking through most of the folders but can't seem to find them anywhere...

Edit : Nevermind it's just decided to order them in a bizarre way. :o

How odd.

They should be here:

Computer\GT-I9300\Card\DCIM\Camera

or here:

Computer\GT-I9300\Phone\DCIM\Camera

I assume that you are connected as an MTP device.

Yeah I've just edited that post, it has decided to order them in a bizarre way. :o The lack of a thumbnail preview isn't helping me. :p

Yeah MTP doesn't thumbnail media files which is a bit of a bummer but thankfully on the S3 you can remove the SD card without taking out the battery (S2) so large transfers can be done via card reader.

Or if you're rooted you can boot into recovery and Mount USB for mass storage mode I guess :p (convenient). That's what I did on the S2.

With the S3 I can mount the phone using Samba and then do stuff over Wireless-N which is even more convenient.

I wonder if someone can help me out , I have joined dropbox through the S3 but I only got 2Gb of storage space. I'm sure I read on here that this happened to others and they gave a way they got it resolved but I cant find the threads anywhere. Does any one know how I go about getting it sorted ?

Forget what I said above, I reset my device back to factory, went through the process again, this time I got an email with instructions on how to get the 50gb .

AirDroid is what I've got installed but will try that tonight^

I find SwiFTP to be perfect for transferring files I already Know I want, Firefox has it saved already so it's just 2 clicks and I'm logged into the phone transferring files. With AirDroid and the like it's a bit clunkier than a simple FTP interface but is needed if you don't know the files you want and need thumbnails to guide you.
