Neighbour abandons their cat, what to do.....

Who cares - It's a cat, as with a dog - Leave it - No one cares

You do know the OP cares, right? And you've just told him he doesn't?

You've only made 132 posts and I'm already recognising your name as fitting the pattern of worthless posters that will get banned sooner or later. In the mean time on to ignore you go.

Well said.

It's a cat, it will look for the easiest source of food. Once it realises that is no longer the place it used to be it will find food elsewhere. It will be fine.

It may not be fine it might get run over or hurt and as the OP is bothered about it and can access a rescue centre why not do the cat a little good.

It might only be a cat (to some people) but its a bit pointless to see any animal suffer and someone there will want a cat and will take it in. Happy cat, happy person who takes it in, nothing to dislike there that I can see.

I don't see the reason to abandon animals or treat them badly..do the cat a favour and you're the better person than the neighbour, well in my view anyway.

Good god, the amount of hate towards Cats and dogs in this thread is shocking!

The bloody RSPCA adver that comes on the tv every so often tugs at my heart strings!

OP, take it to a local centre for animals, if the owners cant be arsed to take care of it then they dont derserve the right to have it.

Do you make that sort of statement because you feel people love their pets more than you and you need a hug?

Not working I am afraid.

No different to any other cat that is allowed outdoors unsupervised but you don't take every cat you see outside to the RSPCA in case it might get run over.

That's very true and I get what you are saying, but in this case the OP does know the cat is effectively being abandoned. Which is not really the same as catnapping a kitten that has popped out for a walk in case it runs under a bus.

Chuck it off the balcony head first to shut it up.

Are his posts worthless too ^^^^^^^^

I didn't tell the op he didn't care. Read what I put.

Just cause you don't like my posting doesn't make them worthless - I didn't dis your postings.

Give it a few weeks and the cat won't care - it's about as close to a wild animal as a supposedly domesticated pet gets, as many owners are keen to remind people when Mr Fluffles decimates the local bird population and craps over everyone's lawn.

There are two things that are guaranteed to get GD up in arms.

1. Cats - are they rubbish or better than life itself?

2. Cyclists - why don't they pay road tax or why don't the councils provide adequate cycling lanes to keep us safe from the motoring nutjobs?

If you think about it for maybe longer than you should, that's a terribly depressing picture to paint. The big things in our lives are cats and bicycles.

Well we have two house cats so if they are crapping on the lawns they must be throwing it out of the windows, these wild beasts obviously have brains :)

Anyway, I still think its better for the cat to have a home to go to where people like it and will give it a place to go in between bird massacres, spreading disease, building nuclear weapons etc. It's just a better way to keep them.

The concern some people on this forum have for animals is really quite frightening.

:/

Why is it frightening? I do wonder why it is scary that people might care about a cat? I for one can think of much scarier things than that.

Is it meant to imply people who care about animals don't care about people or don't see the problems in the rest of the world or something? I think you might be underestimating how many things people can care about at the same time if so.

OP, if you could help get the cat rehoused it would be the best thing for him. He is clearly in an environment that does not provide him with adequate care and love.

Failing that sell him to the local Chinese take-away they pay top dorra!
