If you post the wizard I could help. With the right build you shouldn't really be dying in Hell if you use the auction house to get half decent gear on the cheap. Around 20k hp and 8k dps would be plenty for Hell with your wiz. Use mirror image, diamond skin, energy armour for defense and attack with venom hydra, blizz, and arcane orb. Anything similar to that should be fine.

Is there any date yet on the next patch? So much wrong with 1.03 that needs fixing.
I'm not much further ahead with my WD (lvl 52 just started Hell) so if I get on tonight I shall post up my stats.
To me, Vit seems a bit low and also DPS is a bit under what I had at that stage. Off the top of head I believe I was on almost 2k DPS and about 15-16k health.
any tips on what to improve please - just can't get anywhere on Act 2 of Inferno. I wasn't doing too bad - but I'm following the footprints now, managed the 1st event, but on 2nd event I keep getting ambussed by massive packs of elites and blues 
Got a little more playtime on my hardcore Witch Doctor over the weekend. Got to lvl 37 and the start of Act 2 on Nightmare difficulty. So far its not really been too much. Been focusing on gear with higher dps stats and vitality. Been working fine so far 
Dont want to jinx anything, but im hopeful I can make it to the end of Nightmare difficulty as long as I dont screw up or get overconfident. Pray for me

Just shows you how much armour also plays a part because your stats are amazing otherwise.
I can take on some elites and kill azzo and belial with my monk with 620 resist, 25k hp, 16.5k dps chc 22 chd 50. Mobs are easy to deal with.
Get your armour up to the 7.5k/8k region with similar stats and I think you could walk Act 3.

Ok then...so I am slowly getting an elite down. Taking out the adds first as they are really doing me a lot of damage. Get the last one down by way of kiting and only have the main one to go. Pop all cool downs and hes going down...but wait...whats this...a DOT? "You are taking too long to kill an elite, you are now taking damage over time"....2 seconds and I am dead without even going to the elite. Its completely bugged! I have 4 stacks of NV, actually progressing on Act2 inferno and then this happens. Seriously....
That's the enrage timer. After 5 minutes? (correct someone if I'm wrong) the elite/champion will enrage and do ranged AOE damage. Sounds like you need more resists and dps.
I have 800 resi and 12k dps. I am a barb.
Oh and another thing I have found. I am getting 2-3 packs right next to each other so I am fighting them at once. Is this normal?
i have actually noticed that more recently, quite often 2 or 3 packs are right next to each other - this didnt happen often pre patch.
Its very annoying. Just now I pretty much had every ability of rare/elite all at once. Had to pass them and then I meet a similar pack. After 30mins and losing my NV I just rage quitted for the night. I might stop playing for a while until they fix the patch lol.

Grand total, 6 champion packs more or less in 3 groups of 2, resplendent chest and treasure goblin.
Then shortly after my game froze as we killed another champ pack. Was odd, I relogged, it put me straight back into the game with my loot on the floor but without my NV stacks ><

If thats happening often, lure them away and fight where you've cleared
