Fantastic, absolutely no need for a 16GB now
I still can't believe how much of a rip off that extra 8GB is when a PNY tiny 32GB USB stick costs £8.99.
1.2mp is hd as far as webcams go, I'm interested to know if you can do video chat at that res.
And this camera technology isn't in the 90s either. People need to stop looking at megapixels as a measure of quality.
So your going to have a cable attached to a flimsy connector that can be easily damaged for the price of a curry. Strange.
Uhm, who is?
Even the naff front facing cameras of phones can do decent video chats, I want to know if this is the same.
Sod taking pictures, I've got loads of other devices that will do that.
The Ars Technica review notes that apps may look funky until developers adjust for the 7" screen. Has anyone seen this in action with other tablets? I.e. I assume the apps will run fine, not squashed and perfectly useable like any normal computer app does at different resolutions?
I do hope that they are as a 10 inch form factor is a much better experience than a 7. I had the original Galaxy Tab and although that was very portable it still felt like a glorified smartphone. Movies and videos looked too small and surfing required a touch of page enlargement. I have been spoilt by using a number of large screen tablets so it is a very subjective choice.
Wow i didn't even think of being able to plug in a usb flash drive with a micro usb to host usb cable, doe's this require software modding of a shipping nexus 7?Or is it just as simple as buying a usb drive and the cable?
I was ooing and arring about buying one of these when i knew it only had 8gb of storage,if i wanted the 16 gb (which really isn't enough as i want to be able to put 720p video/movies on this thing) it comes to £200 so doesn't seem so cheap then.
But the fact you can buy a 64gb flash drive for around £25 makes this a must buy for me now.Glad i come to overclockers every now and again to get the buzz on whats going on in the tech world![]()
I have ordered a couple (one of each size) which Google have just told me on the phone that they "cannot cancel", despite not having yet charged my card, and despite me sending them a series of 'please cancel' messages through google checkout - fuming at that.
In this day and age not having a cancel button on the website itself is diabolical.

You might want to check what they mean by that - IANAL but even Google has to abide by distance selling regulations. That sounds to me like the device has already entered the supply chain so cancelling the order wouldn't cancel the device being delivered.
As somebody else said, you should be able to refuse delivery, or to request a return.
