There is a thread on XDA, people have found loose screws holding the screen in on the left. Opening it is simple, can be done with finger nails.. most say just tightening obviously loose screws has fixed it, a couple say it is still not flush (but haven't provided pics to see if it might need the screen reseating in the bezel, or if its delaminating)

I'll certainly try this if mine has the issue.

Also, if you read the comments against this review, someone says the smart sensor on/off does not actually work.

And apart from almost doubling his price since Tuesday, the seller has also removed this functionality from his description. Oh well, not a deal breaker for me, it's not like it's hard to press the off switch. Interestingly the seller has commented that the hardware is there, but not implemented yet. Probably worried about some Apple patent or other.
 
I'm on the nexus now. Really lovely.

Flash is a PITA but I have got it working on maxthon though it is not very stable. Dolphin HD for jelly bean won't use flash after a recent update (infuriating).

Of course the iplayer app has not been updated so you can't download it from the play store. We'll done BBC IT.

I am currently trying to work out how to play my movies over the . Es file explorer can see them and a number of players will play the video but none will decode DTS sound. Any clues how to make that work?

Not sure but try the new XBMC beta APK that is floating about,

Bet that will look nice on a bigger screen
 
Has anyone who ordered from the play store had the screen raise issue?

Just wondering if it was true that google play UK sent back their batch with the dodgy screens. Mine is from google play and no sign whatsoever of the issue described, mine seems perfect thankfully.
 
Mine arrived today, although they left it with a neighbour and never left a card. Good job it says on the webby who signed for it, and they are trustworthy. No known problems so far, seems to be one from the good batch.
Edit : mine is from Google play.
 
Without wanting to scaremonger, it looks like this doesn't play anything with DTS.

I am not sure if this is because of apps not being updated, but at the moment I cannot get be player, mobo player, MX player, rock lite player to play movies with sound.

Same here - 28th and nothing!

Well peed off as i asked for a cancellation and got a reply on 15th July saying:


"Hi Andrew,

At this point it is no longer possible to cancel this order. Your order is
processed shortly after your purchase is complete. Our expedited order

also means that there is a very short window of time to cancel an order
prior to our shipping provider moving forward with delivery.

I recommend leaving a prominent note on the door to let our shipping
provider know that you're refusing delivery of the package. In some cases
our shipping provider has returned packages if their drivers see a note
for refusal of delivery. The note should include the following:

- Refuse delivery-Return to Sender
- Include signature
- Include tracking #

If your package is returned due to refusal of delivery, your order will be
cancelled and refunded within 2 weeks.

If the package is successfully delivered in spite of the delivery refusal
note on your door, you can still refuse delivery of unopened packages

Packages are delivered quickly eh? - I don't think so as they still haven't taken any money from me!
.... and to add insult to injury i received an email from them shortly after asking me to fill in a customer service questionnaire based on their response !

I won't go into details but i told them i was extremely dissatisfied with their logistics and won't be voting for any of their products again with my wallet.

I now see that this fiasco is getting more media attention and rightly so.

I wonder how Google define expedited but it sure doesn't match this
