As for the colours, in the picture it looks like the S3 is over saturated but it isn't in reality. It's got that AMOLED vibrancy yeah but it's not as harsh as the S2 was. The IPS on the N7 is too neutral to the point that a warm sunny day looks like it was cloudy and just bright.

Not a huge problem as this isn't the purpose this device will be used for (critical photo viewing) :p

So since I work for a retailer that stocks these im at a slight advantage what should I check for when buying in the way of defects?

The left side of the screen slightly raised above the casing
Dents on some parts of the device
Ghosting on the screen
Backlight bleeding
 
Is anyone else running into issues with Google Now not actually doing anything?

Also the new Now voice searching stuff is pants in the UK, it doesn't do any UK sports (Football, Rugby, Cricket, F1 etc) and most of the voice searching (exchange rates, translations etc) just don't do anything apart from search Google.
 
Now dispatched.

£10 discount. Ordered about 10am.

No e-mail but had to go to Tesco Direct to check.


Strangely it says it has gone via Yodel... but I ordered to collect in store so am baffled why it did not just go on a tesco van.

Yep both my Tesco orders have been dispatched. Going to refund the £189 order and keep the £179 one :)
 
Got Google to cancel my order with them, no quarms at all for us UK folks wanting the 16GB and managed to get one ordered from Tesco before they ran out. Phew!

Will have it tomorrow.

I am amazed how fast thing thing is selling, Google have a huge hit on their hands here.

I've had mine since the early ebyr delivery and have used it a lot. It has been gradually getting worse for me over time.

What's worse is when the Nexus 7 heats up from your hands and gaming, the give becomes more pronounced and if you handle it a lot it creaks a lot. Especially if you are right handed and hold it by the left side. Mine is only half a mm off as well. I'm not one to complain normally, never returned anything else due to quality issues and I've had a lot of phones and tablets.

It's a great tablet though, and I'm hoping I can get a replacement soon.
