Asrock Z77 Owners Club

I have the Z77 extreme 6 myself and find the UEFI Bios pretty straight forward. As for overclocking I used a guide on another site and easily clocked my I3770k from 3.5 up to a stable 4.5 (I am a complete beginner at overclocking) on water. I was a bit worried when I chose this board as I had never heard of Asrock but I needn't have its brilliant :)

Does any one have the Extreme 4 with non LP RAM? I have just got some Patriot Viper Xtreme 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 memory, I'm worried I may be severely limited with my choice of CPU coolers.

could you send me a link to that guide, mate?
i build my first pc with asrock and i5 3570k,which I want to oc today, thanks

mickyflinn, you may want to update your BIOS, v2.00 is now released and v1.90 is no longer available for download....may have been dodgy and the cause of your problem.

Z77 E-ITX CPU Core Voltage Offset Mode Overclocking

In preparation for the arrival of my 3570K and my concerns with it's heat disappation I decided to look into the black art of CPU Core Voltage Offset Mode Overclocking.

Now given I can run my current 2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.285V I was sceptical as to whether I could better this...

The good news is I can and I have ;)

I now have it running at a bomb proof 4.5GHz @ a mere 1.264V effective using an offset of -0.110V :p

Result!!! :D

How OC my samsung green ram, with asrock z77extreme4.
By changing frequency in bios to 2400mhz,that results with changing timing for worst.
Change dram voltage to 1.65 constant, where settings now are auto up to 1,58.
thanks

I'm totally new to OC my i5 3570k,i just change multiple to 44,and voltage to offset +0,10v
Cpu is stable, temps around 60 degrees.
Any advice more than welcome.thanks in advance

Cheers :)

It's easy enough once you understand the theory behind what it is your actually doing

Take a read through this -

yeah I've checked my bios and to my disappointment there aren't they same options for asrock boards as for asus

It's from the Asus ROG website but Relevant to all Z77 boards :)

how does it apply to my asrock board??
