It was washed with Megs Gold Glass Shampoo using the 2 bucket method and then waxed using Megs Deep Crystal Carnuba wax (I think) using the yellow and round soft foam applicator. Got a sample free in their detailing kit; it's rather good.

We did consider applying some SRP in between but the swirls and general paint condition weren't too bad.

Would someone mind rating my basket before i buy? I'm on a bit of a budget so if money can be saved somewhere then great. I got some free Angel Wax with my subscription to Evo and its meant to be perfectly decent.

Thanks

I would incline to get some Bilt Hamber Auto Clay in the soft version instead of a clay kit. You don't need a detailer then, just water would do.

£15 will get you 300g which will last much longer.

I use autoglym bumper care.

Speaking of which, gave the car a proper going over this weekend.

Found a bottle of that autoglym bumper care stashed away in the garage so I'll give it a go before trying anything else. ;)

The A6 is looking smart in those pics! :)

Thanks for the tip.

On another note, do i need a separate wash mitt for cleaning the wheels or can i use the same one i use on the body?

Get a different one, maybe a soft brush or something that would suit the shape of your wheels (alloy spokes).

I also use a different mitt for the sills where you get more mud spray.

a bit of advice needed please,

I recently purchased an 09 focus zetec in black and although the paintwork is in good condition and I'd like to keep it that way I need some reccomendation on which waxes to be buying and whch cloths to be using on it....i dont know of any good online retailers so a reccomendation on that would be good too..

I dont think there is any need for polishing as I cant see any swirls on it.

Is it worth applying more than one layer of wax and if so how long should you wait between layers?

thanks for any advice

So I just post there or what :D

Also will that fit my Nilfisk? No mention of Nilfisk in fitting choice!)

Yea Nilfisk is what I have, it's the Kew/Alto attachment.

You just send the money via paypal including what you want and your address/fitment. Then post the transaction ID in the thread (you'll see my post at the bottom ;))

Would you like some? I have far too much and it's enough to last me a decade easy.

I know what, next 5 people requesting some wire wool I'll send you some, will divide up the opened bag up equally best I could.

I'll take some off your hands, want to set fire to some and take pretty pictures :D
