Read 8 chapters of The Walking Dead : Rise of the Governor on it without any problems and i'm usually sensitive to displays. Just need to make sure brightness is right for the room.
Gutted really, was hoping this one would be a final keeper so I could just enjoy it and not worry.
I'm not willing to put up with screen raises or dead pixels, kills re-sale value for one thing.

Thanks to who ever recommended splashtop hd its awesome. Just been usng it to post this, connected my g700 mouse and works brilliantly.
I'm also disappointed at how slow it is... it just sits there on the table and barely moves!
That would be me. I'm still impressed at how well Sky Go ports through; and I'm not telling my son that this works for Club Penguin!
she has one complaint, installing angry birds and it hasn't saved her progress, she has to start again. I don't think we will send it back over that
There are plenty of backup apps available to help you transfer a save between devices.
For the record, mine appears to be free from faults, and I'm loving it.

I think mine has the screen raise issue on the left hand side. Its not as bad as images online, I can just feel its not flush like it is on the right hand side, I'll probably just keep an eye on it and return it if it gets worse
Pull the back off with a credit card and remove the sticky back foam tape that is pushing the screen away from the frame like I did? It probably will get worse if you don't, the screen is having pressure placed on it from behind which is why it's being pushed up. When the tablet gets hot it will mean the remaining glue is likely to fail.

Got my second tablet, and there is no stuck pixels, with minimal lift on the left.

Apologies for bringing the negativity but Google customer service are actually (and shockingly) the worst I have used. It takes an hour to get through on the phone, then your claim is elevated and you are meant to wait for an email which should arrive within 24 hours, 5 days later you send a chaser, 2 days after that you finally get an email completely off topic despite the topic being clearly laid out in your previous email.
I love what Google does and has done but how can they fail so epically at customer service? Surely it should be a priority. Has poor CS always been prevalent at Google and I have only just noticed because it is the first time I have used them?

I've contacted Google a few times, to cancel my initial order, with a couple of general questions and when my free credit didn't activate initially, and I haven't waited longer than 5 minutes... since their support is 24x7, I call around midnight and have had good results. Remember their CS is in the US, so pick your time accordingly.
This is going to be good.
Ringing 11am GMT is around 5am their time and I still get 1 hour of wait.
In another note, for those wanting to use flash, Firefox is the most stable and compatible browser I have found for flash and jelly bean. All the flash features work (full screen included) and it doesn't crash every few clicks.
I am expecting screen separation, if it is only very minor it wont bother me and I'll see how it goes over a week or so.
Dead pixels and a bust speaker are a no-no though.

The reason I originally ordered from <a competitor> is that the Play store was a completely unknown quantity when it comes to a physical product. I also thought that the N7 was likely to be very popular, meaning Google might struggle to deal with the inevitable issues. They might be a big company in some senses, but not for hardware.
I'm sorry I was right, but pleased with my decision to stick with a supplier I know and trust. This is my policy in all things, and it rarely lets me down even if it sometimes means I have to wait a little longer (though in this case, quite the opposite).
Hopefully Google will learn from this, especially in terms of timely communication. But I think any company will always struggle to deal with massive spikes of demand for their services. It's not like they can just turn on another server full of support staff to man the phones for the relatively brief period they're required.
One thing remains certain though, nobody will have died because they had issues with either their N7 or Google's service. This is definitely a first world problem... though given the GDP estimate this morning, we might be 'second world' by the time Google's sorted everyone out.
