German court rules circumcision is 'bodily harm'

Yes.

The Jews don't use the Bible, they use the Tanakh. Catholics are Christians so I have no idea why you are including them in your ill-informed question?

Hmm seems i have learned something new, I though the Torah was their entire literature.

Suppose not.

Well you do seem to be suggesting the health benefits are the major reason for getting it done rather than being somewhat more honest about it and just saying "God tells us to do it".

Im pointing out that there are many reasons why its done, not just for religious reasons. Im trying to keep my personal beliefs out of it or attempting to do so.

more honest about it and just saying "God tells us to do it"

You have said this a couple of times now, im  as to why you keep repeating it. I answered you the first time you asked this, so can only assume you calling me essantialy dishonest is again just mud slinging, to further your cause?

As i told you then the line of debate follows earlier posters thinking they were on to something when they were asking "what are the actual medical benifits" once that was answered they moved on to a different line of attack or simply disappeared from the thread.

Wanna tell that to a Jew or a Catholic?

The Jews use the Torah and the Tanakh (the former shares scripture with both Islam and Christianity, hence them being Abrahamic Religions), and Catholics are Christians!!!!:D

How can you objectively criticise something when you do not even know something as fundamental as Catholicism is Christianity.

Really? It seems very much like you are trying to justify your religious beliefs with non religious reasons.

It has been a long thread, I don't recall you saying "The primary reason I am in favour of infant circumcision is because of my faith". Is that the primary reason you are in favour of infant circumcision?

Not quite. The Old Testament includes the Torah but a whole host of other books (some of which vary depending upon which denomination of Christianity you are talking about).

I never said it wasn't. You claimed 'The Bible' specifically refers to Christianity. This is wrong.

The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία ta biblia "the books") is any one of the collections of the primary religious texts of Judaism and Christianity.

StriderX the Tenakh an dthe Torah are the same thing.

Seriously, you lot need to do your research on this before commented further.

The Jews don't read the Bible....LOL

Apprently so do you, MR. Catholicism isnt Christianity.

Also no i just checked the Wikipedia and there are three book that make up the Tenakh, The Torah, The Nevi'im and The Ketavim.

Of which i have happily learned of.

As I pointed out earlier, but craterloads purposefully misunderstood:

The notion of circumcisions being mandatory for Muslims is the implication that God's design for men was some how at fault.

I thought it was an obligation for a Muslim to believe and accept every action of god is perfect and without fault.

Again you are posting misinformed drivel, do some homework before you attemp to find holes.

What you have stated in factually incorrect and doesnt warrant an explanation, you best of reseaching yourself. It is NOT why it is done in Islam, hence you had no question to ask

Are you lot thick or are you winding me up?

The Torah/Tenakh are the first five books of the Old Testament, ergo part of the Bible.
