*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

This thread should be full of useful info regarding the nexus 7, instead tom_d has trashed it with his constant moaning/spamming.
Its now so long and full of **** its next to useless.
 
I am really disgusted at the attitude of some of you, this is a family forum for all walks of life. People don't expect to come here and be ridiculed.

In comparison to tom I am far from picky, but even I am have requested a replacement as the screen rise and clicking is getting worse.

Thats fine ( and what would do if I had a faulty one ) but you haven't spammed the thread constantly about it have you ?
 
Tablet Talk is a cracking app for those who want to text. Had my phone on charge across the room, was sat reading on the tab and could tell that SMS was getting through instantly to the 7. (You install the app on phone & tab)
 
It is pretty good, been using it a lot. Phone upstairs charging and I'm still getting all my text messages. I really prefer texting from the tablet now.

i think the attitude has been aimed at Tom, with about 10% of this thread being filled up with his personal concerns of the QC of the Nexus
 
Back on topic. I really love the nexus 7 apart from the obvious niggles. Google now has set itself up with my home and work addresses. It's brilliant how it brings up quite accurate traffic info at the times I need.

Only thing that has upset me is that it has made me feel like my Sensation XE is a zte blade or something.
 
Just reserved mine via HMV. I'm off to see The Dark Knight Rises for the 3rd time tonight at Metrocentre so will be picking it up before then. :)

I've not been following this thread, but interesting discussion tbh. Does this mean you have no form of spam protection on your e-mail?
 
Just received my third one. It has a nasty backlight bleed down the left side but the screen isn't raised.

Ridiculous. Third device in under two weeks and still can't get a good one. The bleed is distracting, I just hope it gets better somehow.

I'm now resigned to the fact this device is utter garbage and I will tell friends and family to steer well clear of it.

Now there's an insane man, I just about struggled through watching it once! Terrible end to a great series.
