Afer a set back or two here it is:

L glass temporarily on hold afer a hickup with a 28-70 f2.8 L but the Tamron will do a decent enough job for now.

Product photography not my strong point and available light wasn't great!

My new lens :). Bought second hand from the MM. Very happy with it. What makes it that bit better is I have started selling my photographic services (just as a little earner as I don't currently have time for a regular job with my studies) and income from that paid for most of the lens :). It looks a giant next to the kit lens!!

And a photo of my Yongnuo 565EX which I have had for a couple of months now and love!

This is an excellent lens, I upgraded to a 70-200mm f2.8 VRI but regret it, the 80-200 was sharper and I don't really need the VR.:(

Indeed, my uncles just got his new 70-200 VRII and it's nice and all, with VR but this is just as good, for less than half the money, and all metal! so no worries if it gets bashed a little haha

It is a lovely lens...especially for the money. It is certainly not as good as the VRII. I have both of these and know what they're both capable of and the VRII is significantly better and I'm not just referring to AF speed and VR. Whether it's £1000 better is debatable. I'm not knocking the 80-200mm though...it is an amazing lens and it's much easier to just chuck in a bag for a day out than the VRII. Let's put it this way...I didn't get rid of it when I got the VRII.

Enjoy! :D

Nice, I picked up one too recently, it doesn't feel as great as other L lens though

Yeah I saw in the reviews that it was the first L lens to use their new kind of plastic. If it's the same type as on my 18-135mm STM lens then I'll be alright with that :) that feels fine and isn't too heavy.

Very tempted to buy the 40mm pancake STM lens from Digital Rev on my credit card while I wait lol
