Sorry mate, didn't realise you were stuck at Belial, thought we had done that, I should be on Friday night if you or anyone wants to join (AshenShugar#2446). Act I inferno is no problem, very rarely die on Act II and not to Zoltan or Belial. Been farming Act II and haven't found any decent drops, although the items levels are much better than Act I. Act III is another matter, Elites and Champions very difficult for me, I have killed Ghom at about the 10th attempt and it's a pain, Siege Breaker was straightforward at first attempt. Only tried Act III sparingly and having trouble with the Elites/Champions so can't say much about drops.

No worries man, I want to do Belial myself! On the 3rd stage of him just need to refine my tactics - think I'm trying to kill him too quickly rather than take my time and so keep getting one-shotted by his crush attack. Also I kind of think if I can't beat him fair and square I've no chance in act III so what's the point! Actually finding Act II solo not too bad now, been farming act I and got a couple of OK drops so bank is up to 400k now. Don't know where all these people saying you need millions to do Act II are coming from. Most expensive thing I bought was my weapon at about 250k I think.

I do share the frustration past this point though. To upgrade anything I've got is now going to be millions and even running around act I with my GF and MF gear (60% and 120% before NV) my farming rate is only around 150k/hour so it's going to take forever to progress :(

Judging by the post rate in this thread now compared to June, I'd say most of us have moved on to something less boring now after realising the amount of commitment required to progress. I know I haven't touched the game for two weeks now, having stalled completely in Act 1 of Inferno.

And it's all because Blizzard wanted a cash cow in the AH/RMAH, making drop rates so low so as not to flood the economy and thus keep prices high. It's a real shame as underneath it's a fun game, but when it becomes such a grindfest, there are too many other fun games out there to persist.

I'm not dissing the game as such, it's the infra-structure Blizzard created around it that killed the fun, which is a real shame.

Whilst my observations aren't scientific, I'm also noticing that not much sells these days and that there's also not as much on either AH as there used to be. The RMAH doesn't seem to offer very much at all. Maybe I got lucky, but I've accumulated over 60m in gold, mostly from three items. I'd love to let it build up but as the game seems to be rapidly dying, I've been trying to offload it. Trouble is, I list 40million and only about 6-7m has been selling per 36 hours, so even gold isn't selling.

Think its just the EU server which is dying to be honest. US server have it better compared to AH/RMAH.

Getting a little fed up with the Co-op side as most people rage quit when dying lol

Played with yet another good public group yesterday for Act 4. Died a few times but that's part of the game. Now I'm on Inferno Diablo and I need to try and avoid taking any damage at all. Hopefully I can down him before Guild Wars 2 is out.

This. I think i was getting one decent drop for every 30 hours of farming.

Been playing Hardcore for the past few weeks with a Wizard for the 1st time and on level 57. Really enjoying it much more than I did before on softcore with a Monk. Seems like a whole new game :)

Ye, i've noticed the same thing. Tbh the best way to play is to avoid the co-op, unless You're playing with Your mates.

I didn't read the whole thread, but don't You guys think, that D3 is slowly dying? Most of ppl from my FL didn't log into game for ages. And what's more, Blizzard released just incomplete game, that looks like a Beta version of it. There was so many exploits to use(wiz gode mode was just without any comments). Since Activision took them over, that company is falling apart.

I sold up all my gear and made over $250 on the RMAH but that was a few weeks ago now so sounds like I timed it well. I enjoyed the game for the first few runs but by the time I hit Inferno I was spending as much time on the AH as actually playing the game and that's the sign of a broken mechanic to me. I will probably skip Torchlight 2 as I think D3 as left me a bit numb to the isometric looting! Looking forward to Borderlands 2, somehow grinding/looting in that never felt as much of a chore.

I rage quit after getting killed a few times because the repair costs are so high now, easier to play solo =/ which is a shame because i used to love co-op.

I think I'm making only about 150k per hour farming Act I, with 100% MF and 50% GF (before NV of course). Problem is I can't up my MF/GF gear much without spending a ton of cash to get it, so basically I'd need to farm for a whole day just to be able to farm at a higher rate! I'm stuck in progressing in the game though (at belial) so guess farming's my only option....

Granted I am farming Act 3 so more high end items dropping but I have minimal MF (~25/30%) before NV. If you need help with Belial, I or someone else could help you through I am sure :)

i just had a legit looking email through from blizzard claiming im trying to sell my d3 account. The links within the mail all pointed to blizzard addresses, i havnt done anything about it yet as it still sounds dodgy, is there a known scam doing the rounds?

Thanks for the offer but I'm taking the approach that if I can't beat Belial straight up myself then I won't have any chance in Act III anyway. So I may as well farm until I can get past him by which time my equipment should be good enough to have a stab at Act III. Is the step-up from Act II to III as steep as it was from I to II ?

What I really need is a decent ring with some crit chance / crit damage (hint hint :) ) but the cheapest I can find that's any good in the AH is like a million gold.

Also, does anyone know if gold drops get better from act to act? Would I be better off farming act IV hell rather than act I inferno if I can do it much faster?

Yes. I get 1+ a week (to my email address that isn't attached to Battlenet).

I find it hard to believe Blizzard would send you an email to warn you they are investigating you for selling your account. Why would they bother tipping you off?

Safest thing to do is just ignore anything claiming to be from battle.net or Blizzard.

100% scam. Someone wants to steal your account mate :|

If you were doing something wrong they would suspend your account, not send you an email.

Much like irl, if you do something wrong the police arrest you, they dont' send you an email, or a letter.
