Tempted to sign up for Immortals, what sort of commitment is needed? I can guarantee 2 nights a week, more like almost every night in reality though?

2 GW2 questions.

Does GW2 support SLI?

In the beta / stress test's whilst launching the gw2 client in 3d vision I have encountered a Unable to initialize 3D output error - the client exits, The only way I can get round this is to switch off 3d vision.

I've read numorous posts from other forums but non have really helped, It's a clean windows 7 build with the latest nvidia windows 7 64 bit official drivers. I'm running 2 670's in SLI with no issues 3d issues in other games.

Before I went SLI I did get the same error but it was more Intermittent, now it's constant.

Just wondered if anyone knew a fix for this or if it was related to SLI.

Thanks

*Just wanted to update a fix for this (well it worked for me anyway) - As my machine was a new W7 build I didn't have the Nvidia 3d Vision video player installed - after downloading from http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-video-player-1.7.2-driver.html all seems to work fine in 3D, must be some 3d codec GW2 required during launch.

From my limited experience of being part of The Immortals in SWTOR, they seem to be a guild that caters for all. If you're casual you'll find other casuals, if you're hardcore you'll find other hardcore players. They don't really seem to mind how active you are.

Does anybody know if Arenanet have given more character creation options for the Asura? I have seen some videos from the first beta event they were included in and there are hardly any options, and the options that are there are rubbish..

I missed the hour stress test I hope they have one more before release.

I'm going to roll a Human warrior, Asura Guardian, Sylvari ranger then after that probably an elementalist or engineer.

I think its nice balancing wise, that most disparities in balance is more to do with variance in builds, rather than a classes lower viability overall. I'd probably say that Necromancer, Mesmer, Thief need more builds that are viable, but balance is an ongoing thing, and they do have at least one or two viable builds. The other classes seem to be quite comfortable, with a decent amount of builds, though I'm not sure about ranger, I only tried ranger in BWE1.

You already a member from a long time ago, username then was pea0n, and no commitment is required.

Only thing we would expect is, if you sign up for a event turn up, with everything required correct Stims etc, be on mumble, if you can't make it try let us know, tho we understand real life does not always allow this.

We there to make everyones game time more fun including me, it's not about adding stress, so if you log on every day or once a month that's fine with us.

Aah I see monkeymatt beat me to the reply :D

Cheers :) I think I was in RIFT for a while (didn't like it alas). I re-applied simply as it was a new game.

Ill be investing more time into this game, so I suspect Ill be on line 5 nights a week on average - all the raiding I can do the better so this will be a higher level of commitment.

How does the invite work, just send somebody a whisper when logg in on Saturday?

Have paid only vague attention to this game, will I enjoy it if I don't have a guild etc? Never played an MMO so would I be able to just wander around solo/meet strangers on the fly?

Failing that, how friendly are the guilds on here to MMO noobs? I've watched The Guild if that helps :p

We pretty much a mean horrible lot, and we go out our way to be nasty to everyone :)

And yes you should enjoy the game fine if you play solo, tho its always more fun by a mile in a guild.
