GPU-Z.
How do I view it in game?
I'm not sure. I usually play for a little bit, and then look at the little graph it produces.
Well couldn't you say then when you tested the 560TI with your CPU and MB and you got lower frames compared to old, couldn't that suggest its somehow the CPU and MB?
I played minecraft for 10 mins and it was 31 - 35% load
Well that's strange. What was the CPU usage at?
I don't play minecraft, but I would've thought any game of its calibre would use more than 35% of the GPU. What's the GPU usage in Saints Row 3, or is it not launching?
I got 100% Load on SR3 and my Temps were 60C (GPU). Do I use CPU-Z for monitoring my CPU load yeah?
100% is much better, but what was the performance like? You can just use task manager to view the CPU usage![]()
Its pretty smooth without v-sync, but its lags a little with it on. i just checked my cpu useage and it was 50% after 15 mins of blowing stuff up![]()
You don't really need VSync on if you don't have 2 GPUs or a dual GPU. You'll probably find when your frames drop below 60, that's when it starts to lag more when VSync is enabled.
Also, did you remove the Minecraft fps limit, or whatever it is? As my brother plays that game, and I just remembered seeing that setting once.
Yeah, I dont normally use V-sync I just wanted to see what my FPS would be like with it on
And FPS limit? Does he mean the performance option? I leave mine on balanced because apparently Max FPS makes your GPU too hot for the 5 or 10 FPS improvement.
The max FPS limit is what I was referring to, does not setting it to 'Max FPS' improve your FPS by more than 10fps?
60 in SR3 and at least 100 in minecraft
Click here for a link with regards to the 7850 and minecraft under performing. As for SR3, I'm not too sure. But something must not be right for Minecraft to be running at less than 100fps.
Iv done what he did which was check i had the latest drivers and i looked at the control panel for any weird settings but theyre all normal. so i dont know what it is either.
Iv got to admit im not an amd fan tbh because this kind of thing happened with my old HD5850 back in the day. then i switched to the nvidia gtx 560ti and everything ran perfect. I went with amd again this time because of the OC'ing potential with the 7850 and the price.
