I think it's quite likely, or at least a left-back of some sort. Currently we don't have a senior player who can play in Evra's position, should he be injured. He also needs some competition, he's been poor at times.

Like for the last two seasons :D

Still need a right back to complete the defence unless you're gonna play bambi

Robin van Persie medical successfully completed at Bridgewater Hospital, signing autographs for fans as he left.

Also re: Baines, that may not have been correct, there's currently confusion as to what David May said (as the video sound quality wasn't great and it's now been removed!).

Still, it wouldn't surprise me if we end up with him or someone like Neil Taylor.

I just wanted to torment the unemployed. This is a dose of reality however:

Goal.com reckon song to barca is done

More like you're clueless and intent on embarrassing yourself. ;)

I Really like De Rossi (who was linked with Utd for 1-2 years until recently), will be very sad to see him at the noisey neighbours

Hope Roma stick to their early summer evaluation lol (~100m)

Personally I think De Rossi is VASTLY over rated, I think he was one of there least effective players in the summer who made a raft of terrible passes, poor forwards runs and defensive mistakes.

Never really liked him, and the Italian league is one that is hard to judge players in, how many players have come from the Italian league and flopped elsewhere, Aqualani, Kaka, plenty of others. There are a few brilliant players who end up there, Pirlo, Ibra, but De Rossi hasn't ever impressed me all that much. He's always had such a good player next to him that when the guy next to him utterly dominates almost any midfield with his epic play, people credit De Rossi.

Anyway, he would be another one that really helps with City's fantastic plan to beat FFP regulations(I know they are stupid but their "plan" is as daft as Chelsea's, promising less buying, less big wages, then ignoring it). They bought Rodwell, no idea why nor why he wanted to go there to not play at all, likewise Sinclair maybe trying to force a move, who on earth does he think he'll play ahead of at City, and why on earth do City want him?

Seems Frank De Boaer is saying we have sign a gem in Vurnon Anita. Very talented and the hardest working young player he's ever worked with. Should fit well into the Newcastle squad then :)
HWTL

Assaidi , according to people who should know about him ( so not me! ) claim he's like a younger faster Kuyt - hard working, runs all day, good football brain but limited technically. For £3 mill and 21k wages we can't complain really

Decent signing for the pool for a change. He has a good rep overseas.
If he fails to adapt to the prem league no big deals you can get most of that 3mil back and low wages easy to ship out. If he is a hit you done a Newcastle :D

If we sign De Rossi he will play as part of a back 3. This means we have Yaya, Milner,Rodwell and Barry for the midfield places. Wow! that's loads of players.
Rodwell is going to play but like for example Welbeck he is behind a better player so wont play every game.

As for Sinclair, we need a winger and he is cheap at 5m and brings something different to what we have.

Seriously why the **** has no one bought Berbatov yet? Really cant fathom what the situation with him is (by that I mean why Fergie hates him and why every manager at every other club in the world also hates him)

Does everyone hate him? I thought it was just that manyoo would want to recoup too much of the outlay they spunked on him.

Leeds have been linked with Ricardo Fuller. I'd take that, he's a great player at Championship level.

I'd be amazed if Rodwell got much game time at all. Maybe he'll surprise us and kick on like he was supposed to. Mancini himself didn't exactly seem overwhelmed. Still, maybe it's promising for ffp that City haven't just been able to go out and splurge on hazard, rvp, martinez etc they've had to be more considered.
