RT can't run all windows apps. Pro can.

I wanted windows tablet for ages. Samsung 7 was way too expensive.
And now with win8 it seems like they will be more affordable.

Surface looks brilliant and amazes with its keyboard in cover.

Had transformer than moved to ipad 3 than to nexus and next would be windows one:)

Ignition won't like it, will sell it back;)
 
Finally picked up a 16gb version yesterday whilst in town.
Loving the smaller format, much nicer to use (for me) than the 10" Vega. Great screen quality and it's so much faster than tegra2.
With the £15 credit and the free book & movie, it's pretty good value.

Can't see any obvious issues with screen raise, but I guess I'll see how it is in a few weeks.

Edit: N64oid on this thing is great. :D

just dont use it mate, gave it to the mrs and she has not used it any more than twice. i have a nexus galaxy on the same version, and for 8/10 jobs plus the permanent internet and phone use i finding myself preferring the phone.

its a cracking device but with my phone being identical in setup and software its just not needed
 
Yeah, the £70 price difference and 64GB of space.

However...

I caved. Bought a Nexus. I was determined to get a Playbook, but they didn't have a display model and wouldn't let me open a box to play with one. I know its a better device in almost every area but the build quality issues really concern me. But we shall have to wait and see. Got some stuff to sort tonight and then I will have play.

God I hope it doesn't have issues *fingers crossed*

On a side note, how unbelivably god awful is the service in the purple shirt place! I nearly walked out after waiting so long!
 
Whats a good case for the 7? Saw a nice rubberised looking officially type one. I want something as small and slim as possible.
