It's fine for reading pdfs.
Cool. Thanks. Looks like I should at least check one out in the flesh (er, whatever) before deciding then.

Is there any way to make the stock lock screen rotate into landscape? Or is there a lock screen app that will do it yet not be rubbish (most of the lock screen apps I've used are rubbish).?
I agree but I just installed Nova launcher, job done.
None, yet.
One of the main reasons for my attraction to the nexus was the pure google experIence, so I was reluctant to "skin"over the top of it with another launcher. Compromised with the rotation control as it sorted my only issue with the standard feel.
Nova is a stock launcher (looks the same) - but with loads of extra features.
You'll have to explain that to me.
There's only 1 stock launcher and that's the one thats integrated into JB from Google. Nova is downloaded from Google Play or an APK sideloaded. Therefore it is not THE stock launcher.
You don't wan't to use it then go ahead
Do you use chrome as your stock browser - isn't that on the play store too? My point is, what difference does it make if you have to install it?
How good at power management is the 7? My battery seems to be showing plenty of life, but it does seem like everything stays running when I turn the screen off. Is there a way to make it sleep or anything?
If you have to install it its not stock. That's the difference. Just pointing out that there's only one stock launcher and Nova isn't it.
Install CPU Spy and it will show you the time your device spends in "states", including deep sleep.
Well I mean't stock as in looks exactly the same but with tons of features - which in the end is what really matters.
That makes more sense. What features do you particularly like?
You'll have to explain that to me.
