DPD Delivery Drivers Are *****

I really do appreciate receiving an email the evening before to advise me that my parcel be delivered the next day, followed by another one in the morning containing not only the hour's delivery slot, but also the driver's name.

.

That just reminded me....I got an email saying it would be delivered on the 19th. Then the next morning (19th) I got an email and a text saying it would be delivered on the 20th!! Then I got a text a few hours later saying it was the 19th.

All kudos to dpd in fact, the text or online tracker telling you when they will arrive has meant i've been able to ensure I can take delivery and not once have they been late or missed the time they quoted

DPD in my area are usually fine, they managed to completely lose something of mine some time ago, honestly have no idea how, it wasn't worth anything to anyone really but they never found it, got checked into their depot here never to be seen again.

:(

That's not what I like to hear. How long ago was this; do you want me to look into it?

Another vote for DPD here!

Personally I would replace the five asterisks in the thread title with the word 'great', although I do appreciate that not all drivers are going to be as efficient, or as conscientious, as others.

Nine time out of ten the delivery will occur within the first five minutes of that hour, and will be handed over with a cheery smile.

Given a choice of couriers I would ask for DPD every time... and no, I don't work for them, but have always very pleased with the level of service I receive from them.

I hope we can continue to fulfill your expectations. Thanks for the support.

We like to keep parcel receivers as in the loop as possible. The tracking detail we provide is generally very good. Is there anything you would like to see added?

Weird. Sounds like a Gremlin in the system. Did this happen when you had your most recent issue?

DPD in my area are great. Although when I need them to collect something they show up at some crazy time like 8am. I usually have to jump out the shower to answer the door!

Yesterday had a guy deliver something, then show up 3 hours later to collect something someone had arranged. Quite funny since he said he should have just looked at his later schedule and just collected when he was already here... then his scanner broke and he had to hand write a collection receipt.

:p

I really hope you remember to at least grab a towel before answering the door :p

waited home all day for my 'next day delivery', at 17:40 the tracking info updated as "Unable to deliver, insufficient time available". lovely.

I hope they attempt delivery tomorrow.

Never have had an issue with DPD out of many deliveries too and the drivers have been really friendly people.

Here's another brain twister then, you're the Citylink delivery guy, the is genuinly nobody in because the occupants have jobs, do you:

(A) Leave the parcel with the next door neighbours and have them sign for it, after all its a nice area.
(B) Hide it and leave a note.
(C) Take it to your nearest depot 20 minutes away (40min round trip to collect)

The answer is none of the above, you take it to another depot 1hr away (2hr round trip to collect, impossible to get home from work at 5 then get there on the day before it closes too). After a few years of this I actively sought out a company that used DPD as their depot is 2 miles from my house, hence why I landed here.

That's not a brain twister, that's easy.

He will of taken it back to the depot he is based at.

All to do with postcodes and that init.

Business post had a depot in Lincoln, 22 miles from where I used to live, but serviced my area from a depot 37 miles away from where I lived, because it had a NG postcode.

You haven't witnessed stupidity till you've seen a delivery area designated by postcode.
