I think there was about 7 or 8 for me. And then pretty much every pre-installed app gets an update through Windows Store too.

There was a huge cumulative update for the RTM version but they might have rolled it into the digital download.

On the store live tile you'll see a number. That's telling you how many apps need updating. Just go into store and top right corner It'll have a link to updates.

Upgrading for now as I'm so happy with my current installation - I have all the functionality I need, nothing is broken and everything is still nice and fast. Will do a clean install some time in the next few months I guess. When I can be bothered.

Although there is an option in Store to Auto Update apps which by default is on...

Yeah it'll create an ISO for you to burn to disc! So a bit pointless paying for the boxed version...

You can buy OEM from OcUK. It's not cheap though.

No retail, there's allready an oem version (which is the new retail, license nothing like old OEMs)

Upgrade or OEM are the 2 only versions Microsoft Windows 8 Pro 64-Bit DVD and both are already out ...well tomorrow anyway.

No, as how many times will you need to reinstall, don't forget windows 8 has reset and refresh features.
And for 1hr to install win7 on the odd occasion, is worth the price difference.
