*** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note II Thread ***

Took the plunge and got a note 2 off gumtree. £400 on giffgaff £15pm. Ordered a flip case and a pouch. Will it fit in pouch with flip case? Also ordered screen protectors.

Also, is "that's it, that's all" any good? Sorry for OT!

Yeah very good. Not quite as epic as Art of Flight but then there's much less 'LOOK AT US WE HAVE A RED BULL HELICOPTER' so it evens out. I dunno though, a lot of boarding movies are all much of a muchness to me. Hit some pow, do some silly jumps spinning 30 times through the air, rinse and repeat.

Finally took the plunge and ordered a N7105 today. £500 on orange PAYG handset, and a One Plan from 3. Looking forward to the DC-HSPA speeds, unlimited data and tethering. I see Mobicity have bumped up the price of the N7105 to £650 cheeky beggars!

What is the difference between LTE and non LTE version? Tried googling first but no luck. is there any difference in spec apart from one supporting 3g and one not/

I dont want to wait for 32GB or 64 GB versions so will be buying one soon but want to know if i should buy LTE or non-LTE?

Also how cheap would it be unlock a Note 2?

I heard speculation the LTE version was somehow slower but I don't see how when it has the same hardware a side from the LTE radio. This may have also been disproven with benchmarks.

I'm not sure what LTE bands it supports, if it doesn't support the full set we will be getting then I would avoid the LTE version. Even if it did support the required bands you will be stuck with using it on EE if you wanted LTE right now.

So, if you want LTE right now then get the LTE version. If you're wanting to future proof your purchase by buying the LTE version then check it supports the frequencies we'll be getting in the UK. If you are in the UK :p

l changed my mind. I think I'll keep the Note2 after all. I've been using it a fair bit over the last few days and I'm starting to really like it.

Good to hear :D I will likely be ordering mine on Monday. Don't fancy Nexus phones, and unless the Onex+ plus is amazing, I will stick with getting the Note2 :D

Thanks. and thanks for reading my mind re; future proofing, which is why I asked as I am sure when other networks come into play, prices will drop.

Would anyone happen to know how much it costs to unlock a Note 2? via shops and internet?

Been offered deal with Vodafone, Standard Note2, 1200 minutes, unlimited texts, 1gig date, 12 month contract.

Total cost inc cash back quidco for £50.00 I can claim over 12 months £477.40.

Is this a good deal?

i would say so- £477 for a brand new note 2 along with 12 months of service is a bargain!

but you knew that anyway :D

You'd only be able to get Quidco if you ordered online. Or do you mean you're going to order online and then have you mates, friends and family discount applied?
