Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

Woohoo, finally finished PT1, I must say everything is an improvement over BL1 imo, especially the final battle, the BL1 one was even lamer than the end fight in ME2.

Time for some TVH ass-kickery!

I really don't get why people are still not happy about the final boss on BL2. BL1s boss was a snooze-fest. It had a stupid amount of health and with nothing to revive from if you went down there was no point trying to fight it in the open. For a start it was too powerful so all you had to do was hide behind the rocks. BL2s you had the fight before it, followed by a boss with a fair amount of health but he actually required some thought and if you did go down there was plenty of trash mobs around to shoot if you didn't die too often.

Far more interesting than these lame Raid bosses like Terramorphous and Hyperius who do massive damage that seems to completely ignore how much shield/health/damage resistance you have and 2 shot you regardless. Honestly my Gunzerker has no greater life expectancy against Terramorphous when playing a full Brawn build with 90k hp, 40k shield, 20% DR and the boost from Gunzerk than he does with 50k hp, 25k shield and 0% DR outside of Gunzerk.
Just the other day he pounded the ground and took me to about 5k hp and then did it again almost 2 seconds later. The only reason I survived was because I flipped him off to regain full hp but he still dropped me back down to about 5k hp. Crap like that is just tedious as no amount of skill can let you avoid death.

It is the 4th form of Varkid evolution that can be found anywhere Varkids roam free under the midnight sun *cough* and there aren't '3' of them because they have to evolve to reach that state and do so randomly.

1) Larval/blood/chubby
2) Adult / mutated badass (foudn on a specific mission only)
3) badass
4) super badass
5) ultimate badass
6) Vermivorous (hard as hell)

I'm doing every sidequest I find on PT1. When I hit PT2, should I be skipping all side quests? And how do you integrate the DLC into it, just play at the end of each playthrough?

Not all of them, just the ones that have an item reward that you want bumped up to level 50 on PT2.5

I know. I said 4th form of evolution, meaning Adult is the first evolution so Ultimate is the 4th. Guess it depends how you understand it.

Either way I don't think Mal has a clue what he's talking about :p
 
i was particularly saying either of you were wrong, just listing the stages, but you said 4th form of evolution, that could be taken either way ;)

anyway, you're not a man until you've solo'd a verm lol

I've never even seen an Ultimate Badass never mind a Vermivorous :(

I once had about 6-8 Badass Varkids chasing me round in circles when I was trying to evolve them. Only 1 of them finally progressed to Super...
 
Without using the bugged terrain on the ramp I doubt its possible for any class to solo him... unless you use the Bee and Conference Call.
 
I spent a good half hour trying to get a Vermivorous to try and solo. The most I got was a few badass varkids, but they wern't for evolving any further so I just got bored and killed them.

How long is it supposed to take?
 
Ahh, just had a look on a youtube video and it said its very hard to get one to spawn in single player. Also said it can still take 45 mins with 4 players :eek:.

All information available seems very hit n miss so its hard to know what the truth is. Safe to say it can take a while just because most Varkids never evolve past a certain point.

Indeed, I had 1 Super Badass yesterday evening, went to where madam von bartlesby was, killed her, and of the 3 surviving Varkids, only 1 changed to a Adult, the others didn't.

PS i added you to steam if you fancy some farming at some point.
