<~~~~(NEW NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED CONFIRMED)~~~~>

Just wondered about music settings as changed to Recently Added and it looks like it's picking up the music from my PC or My Book Live Twonky as i don't have any tunes on XBox

Christ that Neil_J is good lol.

This is a great game, 8/10 from me.

Although you can see from this game how we are in dire need for a new generation of console hardware now. 30Hz just does not compare to 60Hz no matter how much spin you put on it. You can almost feel the frustration that I am sure Criterion have with this generation of console now.

Two things need to happen.

1) Criterion escape the clutches of EA, and in doing so bring back Burnout along with creative freedom (i.e. OK the game world in Most Wanted is better graphically than BP and almost certainly bigger, but the variance and locations aren't nearly as fun and as well thought out as BP, there just isn't as much love nor passion coded into this game world. Is this an indication of EA stifling the creative independance at Criterion ? a gameplay design decision ? or did Criterion lose some of the better game world devs in the past few years ?)

2) The next game from them get's released on the 720/PS4, no point in bringing out another struggling 30Hz racer on this generation.

It's time to put this console generation to bed. Roll on next year ! :)

I agree about the console specs. The PS3 is still ahead of what my PC can do because I haven't bothered to upgrade it for ages, but you can practically feel this game smashing its head into the hardware limits of the console.

It looks very nice, but there are moments when, like you said, the developers must have got frustrated with that they were able to do.

Still, I've always been a gameplay > graphics kind of guy, and this is definitely providing the casual racer lol's I was looking for. I missed Paradise when it came around, which I'm regretting now.

It's a shame you missed out on Paradise, it was Criterion at their creative best. At first many of us did not like the move to an open world for a Burnout game, but given time and a few patch changes it was awesome.

I think as you say you are more of a gameplay than graphics whore, then maybe you should consider picking it up with the extra game world DLC expansion included (Big Surf Island iirc).

Only issue is the multiplayer might be a bit sparse to non-existant now..

Been loving this. Its got a lot harder now. 1 crash and your last.

Although everything I do Neil_J has already done faster :).

Is anyone else finding their connection to Autolog is flakey as hell? It seems to randomly disconnect every few minutes.

Haha, I got a good go at a lot of the events over the weekend, I think I'm sitting about 10k speed points off the last Most Wanted car now (1m sp I think?) I'd love to get the platinum trophy on this so I've been re-doing the events until I get gold on them.

Absolutely love the game, and if anyone has access to a wheel I would definitely recommend it, makes the game even more fun! Honestly couldn't imagine playing it with a controller now.

The autolog keeps disconnecting for me as well, really annoying, I feel like I'm having to reconnect every other race. It's a brilliant feature though, it's great to be able to compare everything you do to other people.

I've had a bit of a go online and it's a good laugh, I think the speedlist feature works well and it's easy to keep things varied. We'll all have to try and get on for some races/crashes/stunts etc:D

what wheel you got mate ?

thinking of getting my logitech DFP out of the garage, just didn't think a wheel would suit this game, but if your times are anything to go by....

Got the Logitech DFGT - I think it works really well, the feedback is good (for what you'd expect with it being an arcade racer, it's not like GT5) it feels responsive. I'd say my only complaint would be my middle finger feels a bit sore after pressing the flappy paddle for the nitrous boost so much. :D

Don't take my times at face value though - I need to confirm this, but - as you progress through the races with different cars, some of the events overlap and you'll do the same race more than once, just with a different car. I think the reason why my times look good is that I may have done those events you're doing, but with a faster car, obviously making it easier to get a good time.

I think this because if you just drive up to the race points (the green diamonds/squares on the map) it comes up with a leaderboard of your friends, their times, and the car they done it in - it doesn't tell you the car they did it with on the fly as the race is loading/finished.

Well that's my theory anyway - there have only been a handful of races where I've thought "bloody hell that was a good run" and had no crashes.

When the PS Network went down users got a month of free PS+ access which at the time got me free access to Paradise. I did like it, but like you said the MP was dead which is why I didn't really stick with it for more than a couple of hours.

I might go back and see if I can pick up a copy for a blast once I finish MW. Although did I hear its now free on PC?

Really enjoying this game so far, my PSN is N-WDS if anyone wants a few races.

Had fun in them races tonight, must say nothing beats when your going absolutley flying and smash into someone and launch them into the air lol :D Great fun this game, loving it!

People's favourite cars so far? I really like the Ford GT, and liked the Koenisegg (#1 MW car unlock) from what I tried with it last night. Currently going through all the cars trying to get gold on all of the events, this could take a long time :|

Porsche 918.

I love the car anyway because of the way it throws the EU emissions regulations back in their face, but its a good car in game too. The rising air intakes are cool :)

The mclaren mp4 for me, i like the handling and the atoms fun. Been trying the veyron but the back end seems to drift out to much for my liking.

It goes off your speed level - as you get a higher speed level you unlock more cars. I've been trying to find a list that shows what you unlock at each level but can't seek to find one.

A question about speed levels, I know when you finish a speed list, it shows your exp at the end, but say I complete 3 races, do I still get XP, or do you have to complete the entire speed list? Anyone know?

You still get the exp, just shows you at the end the totals and any unlocks/tickets you got. Cant seem to find a list of the multiplayer unlock levels but you get a decent choice by the time your mid 20s.
