<~~~~(NEW NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED CONFIRMED)~~~~>

Ah speedlists. I found out that you can edit your own and I assume then select them when you are the server host. I imagine people are mainly using the defaults though as some of the challenges are just pants. I've created a few with just races.

I've only played multiplayer for a few hours and most of the speedlists I've played have been the same so I guess you're right about there being pre-set lists to choose from. Races would be cool, I'm still utterly rubbish at the game though. :D

If anyone wants to add me on XBox feel free as i've only got a couple of friends playing this game

Same name on forum

There are a few things I hate about this game, firstly all the standard traffic seems to have God Mode enabled, secondly I hate it when you're in a multiplayer team race and your own team mates are trying to smash you off the track because they're retarded and thirdly I wish you could zoom the minimap out a little bit more because it's virtually useless in a race. Other than that it's awesome. :D

I love the fact that no matter what car you drive the police are always faster...

I've seen loads of people moaning about this, but imagine how boring it would be if every pursuit lasted 10 seconds? I like that the cops stick with you, makes things exciting.

Finally overtook WDS at the top of my Most Wanted list. I'm still missing one speed camera though, which presumably means that after 2.3m Speed Points there is still a road somewhere that I havent driven down

Dammit gonna have to start playing again , i found all the cameras but was just pure luck didnt even notice when i did it

I like the fact the cops are faster it's hilarious... :D

It does make it more enjoyable but the rubberbandings that extreme you can mess up as much as you like within the first half of a race and still win but have a perfect race then one **** up right at the finish line can cost you first place. It can get really frustrating.

Tried the 360 demo of this earlier, and I'm rather disappointed. Visually it's not up to much, especially compared to Forza (although I concede the comparison is unfair because Forza has far less going on at any time), the car handling is far more "arcadey" and it's got the same "drift round corners" annoyance that Hot Pursuit also had which makes the actual steering relatively useless unless you're willing to squeal your tyres all the time.

Didn't think the pursuit element was up to much either, it didn't feel nearly as intense as the original Most Wanted, the cops seem to keep their distance far more and the pursuit commentary just feels very fake. The demo itself was terrible too, spent half the time crashing into invisible walls that only appear when you're about to hit them.

Might give it a chance when it's cheap, but for now, Forza is doing well to keep me occupied and I certainly don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

I think your problem is that you are expecting it to be like Forza.

Its not, it's a successor to Burnout Paradise and the drifty style is what its meant to be like.

I also think the visuals look great for console, but I've only seen the PS3 version.

The graphics look fine in my opinion, I haven't played Forza Horizon but the visuals in Need for Speed are far from ugly, in fact I think it looks great. The drifting around corners that you talk about is exactly how the game is intended to be played and I'm not sure why you'd think any different, especially as it's the Burnout team working on it, which was the same in Paradise and pretty much the same as Hot Pursuit, they aren't going to magic it into a simulation all of a sudden after their last two games played exactly like this one. :p

I agree, the cops are a needless addition and I don't think they add anything to the game at all, I've spent most of my time in multiplayer and the cops aren't even present online which just seems like a huge waste, the cops v robbers online potential is enormous and I'd be very surprised if they didn't patch this mode into the game like they did in Paradise.

Nope, actually I'm expecting it to be like Need For Speed, but ever since Criterion have been involved they've been trying to turn it into Need For Burnout. The drifty handling and arcade physics worked brilliantly in Burnout, but I'd prefer something a little more traditional for an NFS game. It has nothing to do with Forza in that respect, I've played enough NFS games to know that forced drifting isn't a mainstay of the series, it's something Criterion have brought with them and I'd rather they hadn't.

I didn't call it ugly, I said they weren't really up to much. It was quite jarring seeing so many 'jaggies' and a poorer view distance after playing Forza Horizon, but that's mostly understandable given that it's obviously got more happening on screen and it's been made for multiple platforms.

Just found all the security gates strange thing is i'm sure some don't appear until your a certain level as the last one was on part of a bridge with a billboard which i had already done and there was only open way to get at it

Did Criterion do Hot Pursuit?

I'm glad NFS has gone in a different direction. The underground style street racing had been done to death and they were just rehashing the same thing over and over.

So it turns out the Focus ST is a hidden car in the game. Off to go unlock it now. Might explain the mystery 61st event I haven't competed in
