Could use some expert help with a bricked GTX 680

Bonus again! Have a colleague at work that has experience and the right equipment for SMD soldering. He will have a look at this for me and if the surface soldering pads are OK and the components are uncracked he is fairly confident he can reattach them.

So you obv never read my post properly. 70 is nearly 20% that's way too much. For starters soldering 1 chip won't take 2 hours. 35 is 10% almost. Sounds much better.e

You are missing point 2. I can't be bothered. I earn enough to allow me to be lazy and rest assured that a proper job has been done by someone who knows better than me.

And 70 is nearly 20% of what? £350? What is that in relation to? The GPU? OP hasn't had a quote for that. Keep up!

:) The card was an ebay purchase for 330£ - 340 including postage. Expensive for a doorstop! I won't be able to hand it over to my colleague until next week as I'm out on business travelling most of this week so next week is where it'll happen - hopefully. I'll let you all know how it goes.

I charge people £50 to replace a screen on an iPhone 4 / 4S.
The part costs me £20, so i make £30 profit.
It takes me ~20 Mins to replace said screen.

When I'm working i will have 10 phones booked in all at once, that's around £90 an hour profit....

Repairing gadgets costs money. You may not like how much money it costs but you cannot do anything about it.

Changing a tyre on a car requires a little more than a jack. Have you ever driven a car and when it gets to 50 mph it starts to shake? That would be because of little lead weights that keep the wheel balanced. A garage has the tools to do these jobs and I wouldn't expect Joe Average to have them.

Wheel alignment doesnt always suffer when changing a tire. And yes all you need is a jack and a spanner/socket set. Funny we talking about cars as my front right hand side has a screw in it with a slow puncture and the wheel alignment has gone off lol.

Crazy coincidence or one of you been ****ing with my car? ;)

Also please dont mention people with Apple products, they throw their money away :| Apple is the most overpriced company on the planet.

Again with the "how much you earn" crap. Why does it worry you so much? and as for my Iphone, I got it free on a 24month contract with Vodafone of which I pay £25.99 a month with 600 minutes and unlimited texts and 1GB data. I think I got a good deal ;)

That video shows you how to change a wheel and not how to change a tyre. Even my Wife can change a wheel.

Oh lawd, you got ripped off so bad there. I've got a Galaxy Note 2 for £21 a month with unlimited texts, minutes and 2GB data. Ripped off so bad!
 
I cant say the Iphones are any better greg lol and you know it!

Id say the best phone ive had so far has been the galaxy s2, s3 is a bit big.

Iphone 4s is really limited you cant even download documents to the phone from email to alter them! This is why id never go back to Apple.
