The OcUK Powerlifting Totals

Need an update for mine

Old -

Hedge -------- 90 / 150 / 165 -------- [90] ---- 405

New -

Hedge -------- 105 / 150 / 190 -------- [90] ---- 445

Ive not squatted since I peaked ages ago and had injury. Deadlifted 190 tonight though and benched 105 last week. Ill aim for another 1rm on my bench tomorrow.

Someone commented on my deadlift tonight saying I was surprisingly strong for a 6ft 3 gangly framed guy :) felt good.

I thought this may be interesting to some people:

I've taken the data from last year and cross referenced it with the list that Christian has compiled in this thread.

I've highlighted the biggest jumpers in terms of position, and also highlighted all posts with increased lifts.

Hope you found it useful - happy to edit/modify it.

Dom is in clear lead by increasing his lifts by 80kg - and moving 11 places!

However there are 15 improvements in lifts

The N/A is owing to new people to the list from the previous year.

I did a bit of geeky stuff myself earlier, and its not quite straightforward to track, as improvements from the start of 2012 have to be checked by either taking the persons 2011 totals from the 2010 thread, or their first 2012 posting in the old thread, because LiE for example actually increased all lifts in total by 57.5kg over the year. I must admit I overlooked reyu and Stiv who have clearly both made awesome improvements, and jawalks to!

Overall, good improvements guys :)

I think Dom has been lifting a lot longer than me. I started lifting last year I only got a few posts in the total thread before it turned 2012 so I got all my beginner gainz making it look like I've added more where as dom has put in the work in and had a better progression rate really.

My body weight doesn't seem to be on it either =P

Dom is 52kg and stiv is 80kg :p

wow, I did a 50kg. Im happy with that :). More to come hopefully!

Oops got it wrong way round! Thanks.

Well it is. You just take the previous year and compare it to the current year. You don't need to get any more technical than that.

Didn't know what it was - but that's irrelevant for showing the improvement. :)

Can we say that I increased my lifts by 470kg this year because I couldn't deadlift or squat because of injuries? That's how it works, right??

Dude, you're lifting towards the top end of your natural ability - 10kg a year is awesome! in 10 years, 100kg ;)

Looking in the past thread at the dates, this was my total from 1 year ago.

LiE -------- 160 / 172.5 / 220(s) ------ [80] ---- 552.5

So a 57.5kg increase in a year and 2.5kg weight gain.
