***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Completely agree though even I think the Nexus 4 is too big...

I actually have to move the position of my hand in relation to the phone compared to how I pick it up just to attempt to use it in one hand, to the extent Im holding onto less than half of the phone and can only wrap 3 of my 4 digits around it when doing so. And I dont have tiny hands neither :p

I dont get why phones had to get so much bigger when it affected their ergonomics massively.

Yeah I'd prefer something with the Nexus 4 specs and a 4.3" screen, alas options for the foreseeable seem limited. Saying that the Nexus 4 is okay but about my max going forward. I'll not even consider 5" phones its borderline ridiculous.

I think u are in denial about your tiny hands lol. I find s3 perfectly comfortable to use n love having bigger screen for browsing and games.

I think I have quite small hands for a man and wouldn't want anything much bigger than my nexus 4. Pretty much perfect.

I didnt say it wasnt comfortable, more that from a natural position of picking up the phone you have move it into a position to utilise the whole screen - thats poorly thought-out ergonomics, especially when attempting to use the phone one handed you reduce the hold you have on the phone to do it...

Signal Bars don't signify anything as you mentioned, What I meant was the signal strength as in dB's from settings >about>signal.

EDIT: Nexus 4 has -113 db at work my S3 had about -70 to -90 in the office so S3 had a better signal, having said that I did try different Modems on the S3.

Ah sorry, I didn't realise people were looking at actual figures (or that it was so easy to do so). I'm coming from an iPhone so I'm guessing it wont be easy for me to compare, I'm guessing Apple don't make it so easy to look at such things.

Yeah I have to spider my hand around the phone to get to things sometimes, it's annoying but I've got used to it having owned loads of big screen phones. The S3 is worse but not a problem for me.

I think it's the 'button' placement. Your thumb does't have to move as far to reach them.

My N4 is much more comfortable to use than my One X.

Managed to drop my Nexus 4 in the supermarket yesterday from waist height, slid across the floor... Expected to pick it up and burst into tears but it only had a few minor scratches on the back. So lucky!

Played with one today in O2. It's crap, you guys with pre-order status should cancel immediately!!!!!!!!!!!11

CANCEL IMMEDIATELY

In other news I'm hoping my new phone will arrive quickly :D

For those thinking maybe the signal display is just different... I have messages failing to send because of no signal lol. It's definitely worse for signal than my s3 by a mile. Could just be my phone and not the nexus 4s as a whole

prob want to keep 16, 8 was mistake when over excited! wary of cancelling with Google as will probably cancel both.

If you live in London I'll buy the 8GB version off you. Less hassle.

Ordered just after 5 but still pending!

on south coast but in central London quite often.

receiving 8 and 16 today.

going to sell 8.

Can I take you up on this offer please. Would be very grateful.

Ok I now have had my nexus 4 for 2 days. My thoughts so far. For your information I have had the iPhone 3 and the HTC Mozart WP7 being my recent.

It's quick. A good size and is quite comfortable for me to use with one hand. The layout is great and the ability to move things around is fantastic. Browsing is fast too. I really love the menus and the whole navigation around the OS. It seems so fluid and I thought the WP7 was fluid. The ear piece sounds clear and I can hear the other person very well. The signal seems better (on O2).

Over all I think its a great phone and very happy.

One downside is it wont connect to my Wifi. My iPhone 3 did and all my other phones including the HTC Mozart. My girlfriends iPhone wont connect neither will her iPad 2. R0B75, did your N4 connect to my wifi when you popped round the other week?

I take it it is an issue with my router as its a very old model. Linksys WRT54gs. I have googled all manner of things to find a fix, some work for other and some don't. Really does my head in. Anyway I should be getting a new one next month.
