is it really a bargain ? and you say that in n4 thread when a phone that has double everything costs the same..
If it is the S4 version then why wouldn't it be a bargain? Considering everywhere here in the UK is selling it for about £330+ and that is mainly for the S3 version.....
Aside from a better NLED, better chipset and 1GB more RAM, nexus device so good support, the N4 isn't twice as good as the S in everything, a large part of it comes down to personal preference.
- Build/perceived quality and design of the N4 isn't as good as the one S IMO and I imagine the majority of others would agree, aluminium uni-body with a MAO finish and 2 small bits of plastic on the back at the top and bottom VS glass back and plastic
- For some, a SAMOLED screen is better, the sole reason I am not getting a nexus 4 is due to the screen after reading the majority of user reviews and seeing kona's pics. Rather have the SAMOLED qHD over a HD LCD screen any day, same reason why kona and others aren't going to move to the nexus 4 from the GS 3. The only advantage of the nexus 4 screen for me would be the sharpness and size
- camera is better in every area on the S
- one S runs cooler and is put together better
- one S now supports USB OTG
Audio is more or less the same according to gsmarena's test.
Battery life is a tricky one as the nexus 4 should be one of the best phones there is for battery life but unless you tweak and turn stuff of, it is very poor (it will be fixed/improved with updates though but the question is when?) and with the JB update on the S, my battery has got worse (but iirc this is a problem with 4.1.1 and is fixed in 4.1.2), it was much better with ICS and only truly beaten by the likes of the note II, RAZR i, RAZR maxx etc. although others have said that theirs has improved with JB....
Software skin is personal preference, I rather have sense, the only thing I like about stock is the holo theme throughout.
Design is personal preference, I prefer the one S design.
Real world performance, there isn't going to be much if any difference now between them now (the S4 version) that the one S has JB. I can't see any form of lag/micro stutter on my S, everything has got a lot more snappier and smoother now. The nexus 4 will have better multi-tasking due to stock android and an extra GB of RAM. There is little to no benefit of having an additional 2 cores.
So as you can see not exactly a case of having "double everything but costs the same"
