Wrong, were you even watching the same film?!
The visions seen by Taylor Klitch explain what was going to happen.
Err, no.
The Aliens were going to make contact back home so they could make a full scale invasion.

I guess the navy felt left out. its always US Marines or the Airforce saving the planet..

Then there was the bit were all the veterans turn up to man the battleship, it must be one of the most cringe worthy moments ever put to film.
'murica, **** yeah!
However since Prometheus gave it all that about being such great film it falls far harder than Battleship which was always going to be about the cheese. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed watching Battleship as I wasn't expecting it to anything other than it was, Prometheus on the other hand was my biggest film viewing disappointment since the awful Harry Potter finale.I cant askmyou to do anymore for your country! But... I'm asking.
Lol, awful film.
It and Prometheus certainly neck and neck for the turkey.

Exactly this, Battleship is in the same class as The Expendables. Sit back, veg out and just enjoy the cheese!
Prometheus pretends to be something great but flops harder than John Smith's "Running Bomb"
The handbrake turn of a 50,000 ton battleship on the anchor chain had me.
Awful film but has some good effects and the sound is pretty decent on the Blu-ray with the sub turned up.
