What really why can't we say it you and others and me laugh about other players all we said was he isn't as good as messi or Ronaldo not like we said he is crap lol sorry we upset ya man love for him :p

You're right it isn't an insult (cm1179's a sensitive little chap aint he)

I disagree he's in the 2nd tier though, if Messi and Ronaldo are alone in the top tier then the 2nd tier would be the likes of Xavi & Iniesta and Bale isn't at that standard either. 3rd tier sounds about right to me :)

Dunno. I'd say the likes of Iniesta, Falcao, the Swedish nutjob, Xavi, Fabregas, RvP and the like are quite a lot better than Bale and a hole host of other world class players but just not good enough to class them in the same group as the dynamic duo.
 
I honestly rate Ronaldo above them all bit that's because IMO he has proven his quality in more than one league messi etc haven't I can't understand how there not bored of la liga if I was them I'd want a new challenge. Bale I think deserves to win something here and then maybe go to la liga and seek a new

I agree.
 
bale is a shining beacon of light in the top tier of premiership midfielders. screw the spanish league, it's all about the man, the legend, the bloke who actually posts on his own facebook fanpage, gareth bale.

Those are exactly the players I was thinking of!...with maybe Suarez in there as well, but I would say bale fits in with that group tbh, especially factoring in things such as the league and team they play in. As brilliant as Xavi and Iniesta are, they play in a league and team that they breeze through, no disrespect to spurs, but bale at times works harder and looks miles better than anyone he is playing with or against.
 
Downing has slowed our play down all ready has had 3 good passes possible and just does the easy one and messes a good run by sturridge or Suarez
 
Downing has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Rarely runs at defenders, has no skill, won't track back because he doesn't believe he has and doesn't score. How he's managed to make a career out of football is a bigger mystery than Area 51. He's like the kid at school that only makes the team because his dad's the manager.
