Me too. I think they saw it was my birthday today and decide to give me a present![]()
happy birthday!I replaced the chain and casette on my commuter thinking they must be worn as it was jumping gears whenever I gave it the beans. Yes the chain had stretched a fair bit and was pretty worn as was the casette, but replacing them didn't fix it, turned out I needed new gear cables and casings as they were all gunked up, worn and stretched.
chain slipping under load = chain/cassette worn
chain jumping out of gears = gears need adjusted
pretty easy to tell the difference

Just managed to unscrew the valve out of my front tyre whilst removing the presta adapter from the stem :/ wasn't even aware you could do that. Tyre deflated preettyyy quickly haha
Shouldn't have any probs once I've screwed valve back in and re-inflated, should I?
had to get a couple of pairs of pliers to get the cap off the core.Ah, so much nicer riding when it's not horrifically windy. 24 miles this evening. Love it.
My gears are knackered. I really need to do something about them. They're skipping and not shifting and shifting too much and all sorts. It's a nightmare. I was hoping I could get away with it and save up for building a new bike next year but I might go ahead with my original plan of replacing some bits on this one in the meantime.
Anyone noticed that the garmin connect website now has a weather tab???
Cancelled
Gutted.
going to do my Threshhold test tommorow, but i have no idea what road i can use as i dont want to be interupted for at least 30 mins
im thinking dual carrige way
This is possibly a general fitness question as much as of cycling
I want to be faster, but i want to lose some weight also, im not overweight by any means but my general fitness is pretty terrible,
so other than turbo trainer which i now have, what else should i be doing (dont want to join gym, so stuff i can do at home.. or running maybe?)

What does the test consist of?
