*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

The only difference I have noticed so far (on my wife's Nexus 7) is that it shows the time to complete a file (app) download, but I am sure there must be others!

my dads taking his nexus on hols with him and we were wondering if there are any decent video chat apps we could use to stay in touch, any recommendations?

Got the 4.2.2 update last night...

I was pleasantly surprised when CWM asked me if I wanted to 'Fix Root' after it installed!!... Obviously I said yes and my Root stayed in place (checked with Root Checker and ES File Explorer)...

Meesa Happy Bunny!! :)

Arrived this morning:

Anyone find that the default clock widget has changed from 4x2 to 5x2? I made the mistake of removing it in order to try out one of the beautiful widgets clocks, only to find when I tried to put the original clock back it would no longer fit and it won't shrink down to 4x2 :(

It has just appeared on mine, and I eagerly tried to continue with the update, only to be told that my battery was too low... at 28%... grr! :(

Now, where's that charger!!

Still nothing for me. Unsure of why and how they only send out the update to certain devices. :(

Go to the settings -> apps -> all and find the google framework services. Click on it and then click "Clear Data".

I did this once, clicked check for update and then it appeared for me.

Didn't work. Guess Google hate me. Sucks because I think I am one of a rare few who would actually benefit from it as I get occasional UI lag etc.

Got my N7 back this week, screen looks good at last! There is a little light bleed on the left and right but nothing like before. Had the update waiting for me as well which seems to have gone through OK, just need to reinstall my apps now.

Does XBMC need to be installed on a rooted tablet?

Yes! Seem like for no reason too as the actual size of the clock display remains the same.
