Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy(R)-winning director Rich Moore (TV's "The Simpsons," "Futurama") take moviegoers on a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey in "Wreck-It Ralph." Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," "Step Brothers") is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer, "30 Rock"), the "good guy" star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing andseeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he's tired of playing the role of a bad guy.

He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero. On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch, TV's "Glee") from the first-person action game Hero's Duty. But it's the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman, "The Sarah Silverman Program") from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it's too late? "Wreck-It Ralph" crashes onto the big screen on November 2, 2012, in Disney Digital 3D(TM) in select theaters.

lols :D

I wasn't paying that much attention untill i saw Bowser and Eggman. Then i rewinded it to see all the other game characters i know. They proberly had to pay Nintendo, Sega and so on loads of Money just for their appearance. Does look good though.

This film is great :)

Watched it tonight. The retro game character cameos are brilliant. Just a great allround family film with references to old games for us more mature folk too :)

Ralph is such a likeable character.

This is not a good film. Such a wasted opportunity considering all the source material they could have used, but instead they stuck half the movie in some candy-cane race world with characters I couldn't care about and a story with no redeeming features.

Looked great and had a couple of nice touches to it, sure, but such a hollow experience overall. I'd give it a 4/10. Not a touch on any recent Pixar animation and Disney's Tangled was far better.

Wasn't funny.
Wasn't creative.
Wasn't a good story.:(

I enjoyed it. Very good characters, nice story, tons of game references. Though I was disappointed initially that it became stuck in the candy cane world. Seemed the most boring of the lot! :D

The score is excellent, though.

I enjoyed it until they got to the candy cane world

My son loved it which is all that counts.

It's not a film aimed at adults

I got about an hour in before getting bored sadly. I felt they spent way too much time in Candy world and the story was soooooo generic it never really engaged me, but kids will love it. I though Sarah Silverman's character was well "acted" but the rest just seemed a little flat to me.

I'm in two minds about this. Some of the references were hilarious (particularly MGS), some cameos, like Sonic's, were sparse to the extent of pointless. I thought the plot was good but then it was all let down by some really dumb design choices:

- why was the little girl such a brat?!
- whoever thought having most of the film in the candy world should be shot
- king candy was also overly twee and annoying.

Should have got the guys who did the script for tangled on this really.

Ralph was a cool chracter and the twist was actually really good, but otherwise definitely aimed at kids with references to keep parents amused.

yes was good, but as an adult it was a missed oportunity for engaging us - would have been awesome if it had more gaming references/characters!!

Agreed was a massive waste of the licenses they had, if you take out the cameos and nods whats left isnt great...

EDIT: Actually the licenses were mostly opposed to the actual film itself if you think it was purely aimed for kids, all were from when we were kids pretty much and not that relevant to kids today...
