Smashed my elbow on Saturday, thought it would be quite common. Not wearing elbow pads though.

So shall just mtfu!

I don't drink anymore, let alone in a gay bar haha

On the subject of elbow protection, Have a look at the newer Oneall stuff, I use the stealth jersey, kind of a compression top with spine, rib and chest protection, with remove-able shoulder and elbow pads. The 'super special foam' or as most would know it is a D3O type, but tests show that the protection is MILES better, it's not bulky in the slightest and kind of moulds to the body when warmed up a little. And the best bit (for me anyway) is that it's neck brace compatible. Have a look, seriously. Great stuff!

I was going to order the 9 speed Deore groupset (not including brakes) tomorrow for my hardtail at £155 all in when I noticed that CRC has the Rockshox Recon Silver Solo Air on sale for £138. My Kona fire Mountain has a crappy Rockshox Dart 1 on it at the moment.

So do I just replace my broken bottom bracket and chainset with the square taper Alivio model for around £40 and buy the fork for a total of £180 or forget the fork for now and upgrade the whole drivetrain to the Deore components?

I'm thinking the Deore stuff makes most sense but I just need a gentle shove in the right direction. :)

The steerer is the tube that connects the fork to the stem, that goes through the head tube of the frame connected by the headset :)

I'm and Urge convert, got myself a Down-o-matic and its great, nice and comfy and seems well made, lightweight as well.
Also got some 5.10s the high versions, see what all the fuss is about now, nice stiff sole and sticks to pedals like dog mess to a blanket. Seem to fend off the wet a bit longer than my old Nikes as well.

Good helmets aren't they ;)

Has anyone any experience of Vitus bikes? I'm liking the look of the Vitus Sommet, but I can't find anything at all online about them?

Think im just going to take mine to the LBS he only charged me a fiver last time and was done in a few minutes. I would be find pressing the new cup in but im not so sure about the screwdriver method on an expensive frame.
