*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

It depends what you are looking for really as it has better blacks but suffers on natural whites and over saturated colours, had both and I have no clear favorite in that department.
 
hmmm, loosing the SAMOLED screen??? Find that very hard to believe especially since Samsung supposedly started the manufacturing of 5" 1080P SAMOLED screens a few months ago........

If that is true, kona will not be best pleased!!! :p


Personally I also rather have SAMOLED over LCD, but I can live with a good LCD screen like the one X/one etc. couldn't live with the LCD displays on sony devices.


Regarding the specs above, aluminium sides.....emm why not just use an aluminium back/front too? :confused:

For those of us that prefer stock Android, I think it's a good thing that it'll be using a Snapdragon. More support :)

No SAMOLED? No way! :D

I'm leaving my head firmly under my pillow - not going to believe any of these rumours :p
 
Ok, don't believe anything you read about the S4. Apparently Samsung are deliberately spread misinformation about the device. This is getting a bit too much like apple.

+1 Can Apple sue Samsung for quite literally taking on the same advertising tactics? :p
 
"a bit too much"........ more like identical to apple and not just now but ever since the GS 3! :D :p



Well to add to that "rumour", here is apparently a glimpse of the GS 4 and the boot screen

Will stick by what has been said many times, all of this will be a load of bull ****, Samsung know how to work the marketing/advertising and create loads of hype, they did the exact same with the GS 3. (look at all the mockups, supposed specs [specs were pretty close though but then again it isn't that hard to guess what the specs will be])

Also, what did I say! :p (can't find my post) but didn't I say that I bet you any money as soon as the htc one has been shown of and the news sites have got their articles on the phone posted up, within a day or so some information about the GS 4 will have been "supposedly leaked" in order to pull away any attention that the HTC one was getting :p Marketing/advertising at its very best!

TBH HTC should move their official release date forward by a few days, although no doubt that Samsung will then move their presentation/show forward to the same date too :D :p

That backlight bleed!

At this rate the Note 2 will never leave my side and that doesn't even bother me any more!
 
Would consider the HTC One if no SAMOLED. Hugely prefer AMOLED to LCD, the black levels make everything nicer, especially as I prefer black menus rather than white.

While not knowing the build quality & the specs for certain of the S4 yet, for me I suspect it will be 5" on the S4 vs the metal build quality of the HTC One and the build quality may well win.
 
Hopefully they announce it soon with a May release date.

Think the S3 released around May last year so they may go with the same release window.
