**** Official Titan owners thread. ****

In benchmarks, the Titan is very close to 670 SLI, obviously much larger frame buffer and only single GPU. I would def choose Titan over 2 x 670's. The RRP is similar aswell, lot of price gouging going on atm though..

I wasn't suggesting 670's in sli i was just saying they beat a single Titan.
yeah I've seen the prices it's getting a bit crazy.

Fan on full trying to keep everything as cold as possible whilst I was benching. That is dedication :D

Anyways, found out a bit about overclocking. My top card clocks better but not as high as the bottom card but they both end up roughly the same. The bottom card need ~20mhz on the core to keep up with the top card. Memory seems to only make sight differences but effects each bench differently. For instance, 3DMark11 loves more core and Heaven loves more memory. Fire Strike wants it all :)

Nice benches so far but they do not justify the £600 per card price difference so my wallet stays shut for now.

Once the prices settle down and it drops to it's RRP I would say it is worth it's price tag. Considering there is no direct competition Nvidia charge a premium, AMD did the same with the launch of the 7970's.. Were basically getting GTX 780/8970 performance (Maybe better performance?) now rather than in 6 months or whatever.. When AMD can get something to compete the prices will come back down to earth :P. problem is rumors are AMD are busy with other projects, consoles etc so might be a while.. Those buying Titan know there not getting a bang for buck card...

Well I've been trying all my old games on Steam with Titan, a couple of the old OpenGL games needed a little encouragement but all working fine....forgot how good things like Quake III Arena were :D

That completes my triple screen testing. Remember when looking at that graph that everything was maxed fully. All AA as high as it would go and noting left out at all. All tests were done with normal playing style and looking around to get a fair reflection of normal gaming.

I am off for one more week, so I will get stuck into as many 3D games as possible tomorrow and report back.

Nice Setup Gregster, loving the Titan's, you need to get a Water Chiller!! trust me Gregster, its a nice feeling when you see your graphic cards at 6c idle and 20c when you run Furmark!

I'm sure this will be you again, if you see your cards idle at 6c:D

^^ I will be getting water blocks but not 100% on a chiller. I would only be getting one for benching but I have flown up the HWBot charts, so who knows :D

Thanks for the compliment.

Having a dedicated fridge for your GPU's? Now that really is benchmark shenanigans. I'd be tempted to go full diabetic and wave my hands around as well.

3 way SLI drivers definitely need a bit of work - utilisation in most things is sitting at 70-80%, and CPU utilisation is at less than 50% when it's doing it, so there is a hell of a lot of performance potential left in the tank

waterblocks have just arrived so tonight / tomorrow will see about getting them hooked up
(been meaning to move my desk so will do that while my system is drained down but depends how much of a pain that all decides to be)

and the replacement for my busted monitor should be here in the next couple of days as well so will be able to get some figures for 7680x1440 gaming over the weekend
