**** Official Titan owners thread. ****

All overclocked and running Heaven 4 the max was 1090 Watts at the wall.

Cheers bro,

My third card has been sat on my desk as I was unsure
whether to install it or not.

I've always believed that above 2 cards they didn't scale all that well,
and it has left me in two minds.

The fact that all the reviewers that recieved Titans got three
to do testing made me think TriSli with these would be the dogs.

As we know that with the 6xx series 4Gb cards, you needed 3 to have the
grunt to utilise fully the extra Vram.

I will install it later and I'll find out for myself wether or not I
chose well

@Kaap did you check your trust

On the rig they are in its a 3970x

Yeah i just seen it in your heaven bench, You have a hexacore, If it bottlenecks your cards i suppose you could always go Xeon 8 core?? Are you going to watercool those?

I would as the heat is gonna be pretty bad.
Talking about a Dual PSU you should take alook at Caselabs website, there cases are the best money can buy in my opinion and you could fit anything you wanted in one of those including 2xPSU''s and its all hidden on the other side of the case so ambient temps are way way down and you still have room for future expansion.

There is no point buying a ferrari engine and trying to cram it all into the shell of a mini cooper;)

No competitors please, US or otherwise - Rilot

I am not sure yet, I will wait and see what sort of improvement people are getting before I decide.

I don't work here, I'm free to post anything much like yourself, public apology was given for my whinging too

Hence "hypocritical" being used rather than, "I can do it but you can't".

Because they haven't made as big a deal about it and they spend their cash here, they said their bit and moved along, you kept stoking it.

Actually quite a few people I talk to bought them elsewhere for varying reasons. And doesn't mean they aren't bothered about it - more probably because they can't be bothered to go through it with you :). Andy's sentiment on another thread probably captures this well:

keep on posting page long replies to whatever you do post in the hope that he can twist whatever you write in response in to something just so he can call you "wrong" and himself "right"

Not everyone is sad like you and I and likes to write essays at each other :D.

We are allowed to moan mate as long as it's civil, opinions and all that.

True. As long as it doesn't stray into the personal territory or the constant territory then that's fine by me. Nothing wrong with constantly going on about it either as a point of principle but you will get people then telling you to pack it in.

That's two members of staff criticising the price buddy.

That's 100% tangential though. I've criticised the price as well. I and others just don't feel the need to repeat it over and over again but the difference is I understand the market side of it as well. I ignored the moaning for about 10 pages and then I had enough reading it when it was the same people.

If Samsung charge £500 more for a TV which has a slightly nicer panel and is far more aesthetically pleasing than the models underneath it, is that not (broadly) the same? Look at it from a high level - premium part, not unlimited availability, no competition, niche market...

Looks great Moog.

Is that a new cpu cooler? I don't remember you having a nh-d14 when i last saw your system.

I did have a H100i but the second one died so I went back to the D14 a much safer option....

I have run a few things on the Titan and so far tbh I'm not as impressed as I hoped I would be. It is fast but I feel for a single 2560x1440 display the card is a little wasted. A 690 would be a better option for a single screen setup in my opinion.

I'm going to do some tests and compare it with some of my other cards and see how it gets on.

Rusty, I think it was meant as more of an opinion rather than being disrespectful.

Yes possibly wasn't worded correctly but that can be very difficult thru words on a forum.

It was meant as no dis-respect to anyone, but I can see how the wording could read as such.

I would say I've put 8 pack in his place and given him a kick, but I fear if I tried such a thing, you guys would never see me again. ;)

Ha ha. To be fair, I wouldn't want to go toe to toe with him!

http://www.caselabs.net/

Its RAW CPU power these cards need. In most cases MHZ is key not cores etc etc ....
