**** Official Titan owners thread. ****

I used the 313.93 for benching, as these seemed to give better points and I am using the 314.14 now (done benching).

No real differences in honesty except for SLI profiles for some games.

Here is the link for the 313.93 drivers if anybody wants to try them

Interesting, I actually had 314.07 installed when I put my Titan in and it did not pick them up, 313.93 is not a driver I've ever had so I suspect it's a modified one for Titan then....I never actually looked at the CD with the card :p

I tried several different BIOS's last night (I want my number 1 position back in 3DMark11) and found the best to still be the original Asus BIOS.

Might have a play later but can't be bothered and might have to concede.

Looks like the throttling issue is sorted via a hacked BIOS. Check out this thread.
Could it be the Titan is being held artificially back due to the 690? Interesting.

;) I worked out very quickly Nvidia had limited total power draw on these cards, what is available could be User directed to a faster fan speed, or core or memory trying to do lots of all 3 would result in more throttling.

People who have water cooled the cards would have available the extra power the cooling fan is not using, Hence less throttling.

Hi all

Please see the video of the unboxing of the EVGA GTXTitan SC Signature card to show you exactly what you get with the product:

Ben

A question for Ben @ EVGA - i just got my SC (non signature edition) and the serial number sticker is plastered right over the card on top of a chip and over some of the surface. are you meant to remover this? is it meant to be shipped this way? cards I owned in the past put the sticker in a spot where it is not over the components. it walso says warranty void if removed, but its looks like you should take it off it it would cause problems

They did the same with their 680's I very gently took mine off with a hairdryer.. If it ever becomes a problem in the future they will get a real mouthfull from me..You just don't stick labels on delicate surface mount components !

I also noticed that the Titans throttle really bad if the vram gets too warm - the card runs at about half speed.

I only had one chance to check the Ram, and mine was stone cold (my calibrated figure)

But, it will be the power draw for the ram that is reducing the clocks, just give it a try, find a clock that will hold a steady boost and increase the memory ;)

I think you are right, when I said getting the vram warm I was pushing the overclock on it and the next thing I know the card was running about half speed.

When I backed off a few mhz on the vram but still with the same GPU clock everything went back to full speed.

Anyone else try the quadro drivers? I think they're superb on the 680 wouldn't mind a little feedback from titan users. Not so much bothered about benchmark scores, just smoothness in games and stability.

:D Have been known to be :D

I subtly posted about this a couple of times, but did not want to give all my Racers edge knowledge away ;) But as the boys are happy to push their cards harder than me I'm falling down the leader boards anyway :( And after spending so much I want my card to last a few years.

Think I picked up about 20 points in Heaven with my cooling mods that allowed the temps to stay below 60c with 72% fan instead of 85% just because the fan was pulling less power.

Guys wondering if anyone can help...

What would be a recommended adapter to provide 3x HDMI outputs for this card. I ordered the Asus model (if it matters).
Have a new Benq w1070 projector (1080p) with a plan to run 3x in surround.

You can get D-DVI to HDMI converters and you can use a HDMI cable for the third.

You may need to use the mini DP (active) to HDMI but not 100%

Thanks for help...

I would need active adapter/converters?
Appreciate if anyone knows of a specific brand/model that works well.

No probs and just looked on the Nvidia site and you will not need the Active display adapter, just the D-DVI to HDMI cables/converter.

What is an active adapter ?

Dvi and Hdmi are basically the same electrically, DVI can even carry the sound.

You can purchase a cable with DVI one end and HDMI the other also
