*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

TPW stuff arrived, all good, just the Free Protein cards that came with it have no codes on them...am I missing something?

Ohh right, got ya, so I get it from my account ( didn't pay much attention, was paying in a hurry).

Clever system with decent referral rates.

time to homosexuality - not long.

Well, i cba to take the bar inside my house, so i worked out tonight with a cold bar and bare hands with chalk, felt good.

Not going back to gloves at all now, chalk is the way forward and i coped fine with a cold bar, so no need to take it inside, my hands warmed up quickly anyway once i started lifting, something they didn't do when i was wearing gloves.

Edit: My grip on the bench press and OHP felt awkward, guess it's just the case that i have to get used to it? As the Deadlift and Barbell Row felt fine.

Been deadlifting for 3 months now and while I am lifting more, the dizziness hasn't fully gone (it has improved). Is this normal?

Do you do any high intensity work at all, making sure you breathe will most likely help. Dizziness will be due to a lack of oxygen, a few slow deep breaths before the lift could help.

Can anyone confirm that when posting in the OcUK FB group everything is private and friends, etc can't see what is being said?

I don't use FB very much, more trouble than it's worth!

Does that imply that lifting heavy correctly shouldn't cause dizziness?

Drinking more water and breathing correctly is something I should be doing more.

Just got back from deployment. I haven't lifted for just over a week and have been feeling pretty run down and tired. Needless to say this did not dent my alpha-ness and jumped straight on to the bench usual weight.

Well, I dropped the bar on my face didn't I?! Yes, that hurt.

I found it completely hilarious and I wasn't one of the guys nearby stood half shocked half laughing at me, so they must have wet themselves when I left the gym! :D ( :( ). Lesson learnt, neck wound in, knob-headedness extracted.

Welcome back, bench ****

HOWEVER, never stop being a knob in the gym. Great gains.

You see this is what I mean when I tell someone to man up. You admit to doing something like a girl, I make some insult about your manhood manparts or your general ineffectuality as a man. And you go "good point", stop being a girl, and find you balls! I salute you wes because most on this forum seem to think that when I tell them to "man up" what I'm REALLY asking them for is some other excuse or reason for their innate, incurable, faggotry.
