Games Listed by Video Memory Usage

I'll throw up some other games tonight like Hitman Absolution, Crysis 3, sleeping dogs and anything else that may be of use.

Will also run on the latest betas, in need of an updated driver for Crysis 3 as my frame rates go anywhere from 20fps to 150fps :p

The 13.3 beta 2 are supposed to be the best for crysis 3 single/multi gpu from what ive heard on other forums.

Everything set to maximum except AA, which is FXAA

Night time (midnight) 930mb

Day time (7am) 1004mb


I'll add somewhere particularly intensive later, like a morning scene where the sun shafts are resource hungry (such as the Clear Sky base, which is where I'm heading now).

You guys have been busy! op updated.

I'll try to make the data useful, just need a larger set first. I'm thinking things like "average vram used as a percentage of total vram" and such like.

I also want to measure the impact on FPS - but that comes later.

fully maxed out, 8xMSAA all bells and whistles enabled
1618mb :eek:

The first playthorugh spiked as high as 3800mb, but after I restarted the game it kept around that 3000mb mark.

Hitman Absolution

Fully maxed out, 8xmsaa (very playable frames!)

Should I be halfing these readouts? Afterburner/GPUz both show that as specifically from GPU1 with a vram limit of 3072mb...

I remember sli and cf vram having to be halved as the monitoring software was doubling the ram usage. Is this not the case anymore? Looks like Rusty beat me to it.
 
I see, its just confusing me that fact afterburner says its reading from GPU1's memory bank only with a limit of 3072mb despite reading higher :)

Something fishy going on with 7970 CF?
I've got a spreadsheet of how much VRAM each GPU has.
Anything reporting more than this will be in a different colour - until we figure out what's going on.
 
The internet believes CF double reports. op updated to reflect that.
SLI inconclusive, so I'm going to assume it's not double-reporting until I see it go over the total vram for the card.

Thank you for that information! I guess that is why AB reports 3600(ish)mb for tombraider@1400p without AA on XFire 7970s
 
I'd like to add a little test to the table:

Game: F1 2012
Res & settings: 1920 x 1080/ Ultra (preset)
GPU: GTX 570 2.5GB
VRAM usage: 1.1GB
