[QUOTEa=Morba;24221802]lol at skateboard being chopped out :D

You get a fair whack above them tom which is a good thing as they don't look that high tbh :p[/QUOTE]

Lol will have to measure them, they're higher than they look in the photo as ear I'm 6'4 :p

I just cringe seeing tall people jump after that YouTube clip of the basketball player went viral last month :(

Awesome achievement just don't snap your legs up bro, that would be sad :(

Thinking of doing the Gherkin Challenge (basically a run up the 900 odd steps of 30 St Mary's Axe).

Think a month to train for it will be long enough?

Seen various people mention on here about flat soled shoes for the gym, anyone have any links for the sort of things? Hate going in to town to do shopping its horrendous.

No links because I am lazy. However, vibram five fingers are good but potentially a little pricey, new balance minimus are also good. Vibram and merrel also do a minimal shoe which is pretty nice.

Short of that, any plimsoll type shoe will do reall, converse also work. It just needs to be flat and sturdy enough that the material wont rip easily.

Cheers dude, fancy the New Balance Minimus too be good for a bit of beach running when we get a bit of sun too :)

I'm in the process of fixing my lordosis and apt, because I'm tired of looking like a freak.

The two main facets are stretching hip flexors and strengthening the core, right? All the hip flexor stretches I've found are lunge based, and I'm not sure I can feel a stretch in my hip flexors when I try them.

Can anyone give me some decent hip flexor stretches?

Thanks

YouTube "MWOD Hip opener." If you think you're hard enough, also try "MWOD Snatch Prep."

As a student on your course, you would do very well the have a look at Supple Leopard by Kelly Starret. If more doctors knew of and read this book, there would be hardly any back pain in this country.

I've been doing the hip opener right before squats. I'll take a look at the snatch prep.

Woah calm down there, the book's only recently come out ;)

I was actually planning on buying the book as a little bday present to myself.

There is another one, but it's mostly for hamstrings... And I can't remember which one it is. :D

Sure! However, MWOD has been online for a fair bit longer, and understanding of core strength, hip mobility and correct spinal positioning has been around even longer. So I have very little sympathy for doctors, I am afraid. :)

Don't worry. When someone comes to me with pains from lifting, I'm not going to tell them to stop lifting ;)

I've slipped out of the habit with my apt correction while i've been out of the gym and not exactly been practising good posture either :( Gonna have to take it easy on squats thats for sure and really make an effort to do the stretches.

CBL may have to revert to a winter only diet, summertime has too many extra curricular activities to stick to it. +3kg this week after beers and social eating etc.
