Time of the month tbh. the big girl.
Seen various people mention on here about flat soled shoes for the gym, anyone have any links for the sort of things? Hate going in to town to do shopping its horrendous.
Finally done uploading
Mirin my quads in the mirror, actually looks like I lift![]()
No links because I am lazy. However, vibram five fingers are good but potentially a little pricey, new balance minimus are also good. Vibram and merrel also do a minimal shoe which is pretty nice.
Short of that, any plimsoll type shoe will do reall, converse also work. It just needs to be flat and sturdy enough that the material wont rip easily.
I'm in the process of fixing my lordosis and apt, because I'm tired of looking like a freak.
The two main facets are stretching hip flexors and strengthening the core, right? All the hip flexor stretches I've found are lunge based, and I'm not sure I can feel a stretch in my hip flexors when I try them.
Can anyone give me some decent hip flexor stretches?
Thanks
YouTube "MWOD Hip opener." If you think you're hard enough, also try "MWOD Snatch Prep."
As a student on your course, you would do very well the have a look at Supple Leopard by Kelly Starret. If more doctors knew of and read this book, there would be hardly any back pain in this country.
I've been doing the hip opener right before squats. I'll take a look at the snatch prep.
Woah calm down there, the book's only recently come out
I was actually planning on buying the book as a little bday present to myself.
Sure! However, MWOD has been online for a fair bit longer, and understanding of core strength, hip mobility and correct spinal positioning has been around even longer. So I have very little sympathy for doctors, I am afraid.![]()
