I'm not sure why you think Rafa will join though? It would damage his connection with Liverpool and, no disrespect to Everton, he could probably do better.
Totally agree, but unfortunately you and me both know there's more chance of Elvis making an appearance than Everton getting some decent budget.

In all serious do you think he would care about the Liverpool connection considering they sacked him?

Why? And he would have had no say in Benitez being sacked either. The decision to sack Benitez was made by one man - Purslow.
You can never rule anything out in football but Benitez's desire to one day return to Liverpool makes him taking the Everton job nigh on impossible.
Thought it was well heard of (certainly read it a few times) Ayre has expressed his dislike of Rafa to people on holidays akin to that of Steve Kean video last year and he would be the only plausible reason FSG never approached him since they took over, who would have been advising FSG because it seems like Ayre.
Oh also the way he hung kenny and especially suarez out to dry last year after the club was 'behind him', and damien comolli

That's the first time I've heard anything about Ayre expressing his dislike of Benitez and I don't believe for one minute that Ayre's advising FSG on football matters. I don't know who is advising them but I'm all but certain it's not Ayre.
A lot of nonsense gets wrote about Ayre on forums and twitter yet I've never seen a major criticism of him that has any foundation to it.

Who do you reckon advised them then? Who would've warned them off Rafa, someone pretty much every fan with a brain never wanted to go
In fairness at a quick google I can't find anything, but typing in 'Ian Ayre', autofills 'Ian Ayre is a ****' although that may be because I searched it in one of my rage sessions at our hilarious club, either way plenty of results, unpopular guy, remaining cancer of that era.
