Tummy, go back to supporting Man U. Comedy.

You're my hero :3.

All moderators should be as amazing as you.

I'm not really sure what the whole point of this is.

In the 5 years that Stoke have been in the Premier League can you name another side of a similar size, stature etc, that have not either gone down or been in a relegation fight? Answering my own question, the only other club (and they very nearly went down in Stokes first season) are Fulham. So while there are other clubs that have stayed up while not being quite so physical as Stoke, they've also not been as effective as Stoke either.

Pulis had a responsibility as Stoke manager to do what was best for them, not to please supporters of other clubs. Stoke had a way of playing that was effective. It got them into the Premier League and they established themselves in midtable. It's only been the end to this season where they've struggled and it has conincided with them being less physical and less direct than they were.

Fulham are a good example, they had a fantastic run under our now England manager and reached a European final. Outside of the big clubs the Premier League revolving door effects an awful lot of clubs.

Stoke play terrible football, while I understand what you say about Pulis, I think he has a responsibility to football, all joking aside to not play stale out dated football, he's not progressed nor evolved as a club and without that constant motivation to do better and to evolve Stoke have stagnated and this season have collapsed post Christmas.

Stoke are going down without Pulis. He's punched way above his weight just like Big Sam did at Bolton and Curbishley did at Charlton*

This notion that all teams should play a certain style of football is embarrassing tbh. They should be allowed to play however the **** they like.

*and Moyes did at Everton.

:D.

Stoke barely play football.

No problem with different styles of football but Pulis is poison.

Pulis has a responsibility to football? :/

Pulis had a responsibility to Stoke and only Stoke.

No. I disagree. I have a very different out look on football to people on this forum so I know I'm in the minority and I'll be mocked.

I'm not convinced that you really do have a different outlook - you certainly didn't when you first started posting on here - but I agree that you like to give that perception.

As a Stokie Pulis will hold a firm place in my heart for the rest of my years. We spent a long time in the wilderness and suffered some bad bad times. Pulis built a team and a style that worked, it got us promoted and made some "bigger" teams squirm and their fans hate us.

When we were at our best we played direct, counterattacking football with two strong wingers and target men. We made the "long throw" a joke and a frustration around the world and as fans we loved being hated, we loved the hostile atmosphere we made at home and we loved our FA Cup and European times.

After that Pulis lost his way, we lost the threat from the wing due to injury and personality clashes, we never invested in real full backs and too many players were forced to play out of position. Lets not mention how Pulis directed every movement from the bench and god forbid the player that did their own thing. He tried to stick with what he knew, but the team he built just lost their way with it.

Too many times have we never turned up at away matches for anything other than not too lose. Too many times have we hear "Goarrrrn Jon" from Pulis at the sidelines directed at his favourite workhorse. Too many times did he play his favourites and not the best people to get results and for too long have we had Championship quality players propping up the midfield daring never to go forward.

It is time for a change, the fans have had enough of dreading what they will see at the next game and never being excited or entertained anymore. We have no player to call our talisman since Fuller left and with him went the excitement from our games.

We may regret it, we may go down. But how much longer would fans keep turning up in their numbers, at no small cost to not be entertained for their money, or worst watch a team that wasn't even trying to win.

Hopefully the new manager will make a change for the better, win the fans around again, get the numbers back up and give us something to cheer and not jeer.

So long Mr Pulis you are a Stoke legend and we thank you.

I am so disappointed that people aren't spelling 'fachts' properly and this page isn't spammed with at least three pictures of Benitez's comical rant.

Yeah knock the cute thing on the head Tummy, it's gay.

"United fans are so cute......." Is something you keep coming out with lately, it wasn't so long ago you classed yourself as a United fan, so either make your mind up, or knock it off with the sly digs :)
