Just joined the club moving from an Galaxy S2.

Gone with Vodafone 24 months (O2 mast issues in my area :( )

Instead of my going through all the posts, any necessities I should do straight away?

Anyone else is SwiftKey? I was making mistakes all the time with the stock keyboard. Coming from iOS which seems to have a much more precise keyboard I was worried I was stuck with a phone that I can't type on for the next year and a half. SwiftKey though is awesome and is much more precise. Tbh I would miss it if I went back to an iPhone.

Is there a unified opinion on the best case for this yet guys? I could do with ordering one and slapping it in with my phone order before it gets dispatched!
 
Nice app. I charge my phone sometimes using my wife's Nokia charger. Apparently that's not kicking out the same power as the official charger.

Would you say the sound quality on the S4 is noticeably worse than the S3? I'm also in the "do i dont i upgrade" camp and to be fair I'm pretty content with my S3.. think its just newgadget disease but if the sound is worse then I'm definitely holding out for Motorola's next device.

I personally prefer the SQ of the S3, I'm finding the S4 sounds a little tiring after a while, its slightly more harsh and fatiguing .
Theres also reports the S4 clips and distorts with a lot of headphones, it seems it struggles with anything that doesn't have the easiest of loads.
The main disapointment for me was the S4 didn't work with my USB dac where as the S3 works fine. This may be a firmware thing though.
 
Little bit of an update - took my phone into CPW after a chat with a friendly bloke from their customer services. Apparently they wouldn't swap the phone because of a cracked screen, but because I'd said about it's spontaneous charging error, they'd swap it for a software fault. All in all, got a new phone :)

No one else has mentioned it, but I got a Cygnett carbon fibre case. Its not that horrible Chinese fake carbon junk. Its proper carbon fibre. It fits perfectly and looks lush.
 
looking to get an s4 from cex and on their website some s4 are listed as lte and some aren't. am I correct in saying theres 2 versions of the s4 or are they all the same?
 
Ok so I installed an unbranded ROM with root and it seemed to go ok, no custom in the device status.

I've now tried to install Cerberus as a sytem app and failed. I have the apk in the system/app folder but it's not doing what I thought, any help please?

Also now have SuperSU, is this what other are using or is there another that is recommended?

1) You can send it back within 30 days if you hate it.
2) You can order it now and forget about it or cancel it before probably monday and have lost nothing
3) At least you get the 'cheaper' price ;)
