** PRE ORDER YOUR NEXT GENERATION CONSOLE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK **

I don't get all this fuss, OcUK can do their business how they want, you want to pre-order the Xbox One now then down the line later end up with a refund when the price is found out? Sounds alright if I was prepared to pay that much for a console upfront. It's pretty simple, if you don't want to pay that price up front, don't order it and go about your day :)

Surely is can't be legal to charge like this (take money right away) upfront for an Xbox One which hasn't been priced to market yet? In effect the pre-ordering customer is giving Ocuk close to a £600 interest free loan.

Almost £600, i was expecting closer to £400 i wont be buying this at launch but i may get it down the line i doubt the price will drop much in the first year there may be bundle deals as always

The introduction price of the ps3 was about £100 less and didn't come with a major peripheral like kineckt.

The pricing has not been announced yet but we are in line with competitors.

I honestly thought you guys might actually see this as good value.

Console for £600 - 8+ year life cycle.

High end VGA card - 6-12 month life cycle

Yet nobody on here blinks at dropping that sort of money on hardware.

Consoles are becoming a little more advanced. Did anyone actually expect the next gen consoles to be around £300?

LOL, if the Xbox 360 was anything to go by I reckon you'd need between 3 maybe 5 xbox 1's to go from year 1 to year 8 of the life cycle.

Don't worry, now you only have to pay a deposit. 15x the deposit most other places are asking for mind you :D

Nice pot of cash to sit on and accrue interest on for ~6 months eh?

It's never going to be £600, that would be ridiculous given Bluray & tooling up was really what set the PS3 price high initially. I'd be surprised if either the Xbox One or PS4 were over £350, even factoring in the higher spec.

Could understand the desire to take a holding deposit up front to separate the wheat from the chaff, but a number plucked out of the air? Even £50 would give people who would just speculatively preorder pause for thought.

Sorry to say but plucking a number out of the air and then sitting on peoples cash for six months feels really shady.

If I were buying I'd rather pay now and then get a little 'payday' when it's released, less hassle, you've already paid so you don't have to chase the company to give them money. Whilst it's a pain to loose a little over £500 like that, it's probably worth it for the hassle it may bring if you did it the other way.

So now it's £300.. I see a lot of thought went into this strategy. Seriously though, you shouldn't be taking the full amount on any products upfront, especially when you don't even know the official pricing. It's just unethical.
