iOS7

It seems you still need your UDID registered either way, so downloading from an external site won't get you any further than getting iOS installed.

Either way im not paying for a dev account or risking downloading from a dodgy source, im waiting until the 5S launch so I get new hardware and new iOS :D

Using a 4S at the moment and desperately waiting for the 5S :(

Looks pretty damn good, as expected in this day and age.

However it wouldn't make me switch as I'm not buying any other Apple devices anytime soon, so it's pretty pointless.

It must be saying something about Android and Windows Phone design when a lot of their features were copied (some of these might have been elsewhere) For example: the Multitasking, Mail Swipe, Action Centre, Filters, Lockscreen, Weather, Tabs and the Action Bar in a couple of the apps. Also, iCloud still deletes photos after 3 months right?

Not sure on this but I know they need to offer more than 5gb of space, should be more like 50gb. Especially for people with more than one Apple device.

Maybe they should base it on the number of devices you own, for example 10gb per device :D

Feel even better about owning a MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone 5 after that keynote. Some excellent features coming the way of the iPhone. And based on past experience, by the time the feature gets onto an Apple platform, it tends to work properly.

It remains to be seen whether the parallax effect stuff based on phone orientation is anything other than a gimmick or whether it adds anything. HTC Sense was big on crap like that and I ended up having to turn it all off and then replace it with an iPhone since it was just terrible all round.

Also good to see everything from the iPhone 4 up getting iOS 7, which is a 2010 handset.

Until you have a file system you can save to, can add external media (SD Card) and have a removable battery, then it will never appeal to me I'm afraid :(

It does look cool though. :)

I thought that would bother me when I switched from Android a couple of years ago but it was outweighed by other things like not seeing the "Force Close" popup 3-4 times a day :D

That could have just been my device though lol

I really like it too, I love the re design to make it look more simple!

Although they need to redesign the safari app icon. Its got too much white border on it for me.

Whats the first beta like in terms of lag, crashes and incompatibilities with apps? Found many issues?

There's the odd stutter but nothing that would bother me, you barely notice it. It's 99% fluid. The apps I have all seem to work fine (though I haven't tested them in depth yet). It's actually more stable than I thought it would be!

No crashes yet. I haven't reset it or done a clean install either, it updated over iOS 6 without issue. I think I'll wipe it tonight though for a 'clean slate'.

Probably :p Peoples views of Android are tainted from the 2.2/2.3 days.

Yep think I was running 2.3 Gingerbread :D

Sounds impressive so far :)

looks pretty nice, but its hilarious how much stuff they have pulled from Android. For all this waggling in the courts I think both parties should just call it quits and get on with making software great regardless.

What's this, the Android forum doesn't like a new version of iOS? Well consider me shocked to my very core! :D

Apple fan makes sweeping statement based on assumption rather than actually absorbing facts? I'm equally shocked! :P

Most of the responses here have been pretty positive considering where its been posted..

Funny isn't it? The distinction between Android and IOS will only get smaller and smaller.

Love that "we will roll this out to iphone 4"
has quickly become
"we will roll this out to iphone 4 with half of the fancy animations and stuff disabled so it actually works"
So more like IOs6.5 unless you buy a new phone, typical apple

Also i wouldn't be keen on what all that white is going to do to your battery life, looks poor on a black phone too

And they still try to palm off features that have been requested for years as some kinda new innovation

lolapple

You missed the "tongue-in-cheek" tone to my post, and also clearly didn't read the closed thread either. :)
