What film did you watch last night?

ABCs of death

The ABCs of Death is a 2012 American anthology horror film produced by Ant Timpson and Tim League. It contains 26 different shorts, each by different directors spanning fifteen countries. It premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.
It's hard to rate this one, its not good, but it's so random and intriguing what **** goes on in 26, more than likely mentally ill and perverse directors heads. Like gore and some very strong relations to fetishis then it's an interesting watch.

5/10

I wont include a trailer but if you want to get an idea, google "F is for fart" & "H is for Hydro-electric Diffusion". To get an idea for the wide range of perverse deaths.

D is for Dogfight was the best.

Olympus has Fallen - 8/10

Sure, it's a by the numbers action film (Think Die Hard), but it does those numbers well and is thoroughly enjoyable.

Had more of a star cast than I realised too.

Olympus Has Fallen. Enjoyable **** 7/10

This is the End. Not as funny as I had hoped, but it was enjoyable. Bit of a strange clientele in the cinema this morning, one bloke must've been in his late 70's and one old girl would have been in her mid 60's easily. Not the sort of people one would expect watching a stoner comedy at the cinema but I hope I still like this sort of film when I'm so old I need to wear a nappy.

Dredd 3D. 8/10

Finally a proper dredd film where the helmet never comes off. I am biased because I love the comics, so happy this film got made.

Shame that there is a slim to no chance of a sequel.

Watched Gangster Squad last night, quite enjoyed it... It wasn't anything amazing and the story was a little predictable but it was a decent enough watch.

Bullet to the head, I enjoyed the film it reminds me of movies from a different time, enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than the last die hard pic :(

Olympus Has Fallen. 8/10. As 'switch your brain off and enjoy the gunfights and explosions' action movies go this is right up there with the good 'uns. Top class cast too.

Yeah buddy! A real Dredd movie, so many references from the comics throughout, did you spot the Chopper graffiti?

The Stallone version was gash except ABC Warrior and Angel family...with Hershel from Walking Dead :)

Olympus Has Fallen

While it started out good and felt like a modern take on Die Hard style action. In the second half no matter how much I tried to disengage my brain and enjoy the explosions, the plot/characters just got more and more retarded by the minute until it dropped even below no-brainer action and left me wondering what the hell I just watched.

6/10 Seen once, killed 2hrs, will never see again (i'm giving it 1+ for it starting well)

I watched Fever Pitch last night

Tricky one to judge, the screenplay is (understandably) quite different from the book with not a lot of overlap aside from the general concept. I can't help but feel that if it wasn't for the fact I support Arsenal it wouldn't have made the same impact and anyone who doesn't follow football would likely be very disappointed. As a RomCom save for a few scenes it is nothing special so it is hard to recommend.
